Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yeah...the show cats now...*shudder* The most pitiful thing is that they are so subject to disease and illness. And they are SO thin that if they get sick they have no reserve to draw on -- and the first thing a sick cat loses is its appetite.
A few years ago, my 14 pound male got a mysterious virus that gave him a low-grade fever for weeks. Very debilitating. We kept him alive by hand feeding him baby food and giving him subcutaneous fluids, but he lost an awful lot of weight. My daughter would hold him while I gave him two "saddlebags" of fluids, one on each side of his hips. He was very patient, but whenever I inserted the needle he would take my daughter's hand in his teeth and just hold it . . . "Now, nobody wants to get hurt here, do they?" We never did find out what the virus was, but he recovered and is perky (but grouchy) and pretty active for a 13 year old cat.

This is the most extreme type Siamese (it's actually a colorpoint) that I could find on the net. Ugly, ugly cat in my not so humble opinion.Ick, ick, it looks like an orc-cat. In fact, it looks more like some hostile alien life form.

Quick... everybody look like you're doing something important...A wedding ain't important? I would think a Freeper wedding should be a pretty newsworthy event. Maybe we can put a live thread in breaking news to cover it!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
You could route that on 287 out of Ft. Worth and pick me up in Wichita. 287 runs into I25 in Raton. You'd be right back on interstates and it's a good highway! :-)
Or........ a better idea would be if I just took A LOT of time off and rode my bike up!

Dang, you even get better sites along the way...I dunno, we might rather go west to L.A. and then drive up the coast. 'Course, that would be when CA would fall into the ocean.

You know what would be fun? If we drove over somewhere and got on a train and rode a train up to Hair's...
Be a bit of an adventure for me!
