The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Rest! Drink some warm tea...I really believe regular old tea has something healing about it...at least soothing.

Got some projects for Saturday. Usual stuff. Also must get out and do some turbo-shopping. Like usual I have done zero (0) shopping yet, and have no idea what anybody is getting. But don't tell hair that.

Sunday we're making Lefse... that'll be a good thing.

Admittedly I only know Lawton and Sill.
Lawton famous for an artillery round landing at the center of the intersection of Sheridan and Gore..
*chuckle*
Supposedly there was a photo of the crater on post somewhere, but I never found it.

The Lawton Mall looks exactly like the Danbury Connecticut mall.
Applebee's in Lawton used to have a HUGE ice cream sundea served on a huge oval tray that was big enough for four.
And a few of the cabbies could be trusted for quick bailouts from 'trouble'...
*chuckle*
Other than that, my couple months stay in Oklahoma was spent completly on post.

We had guys in my training platoon who'd never seen snow before.
*chuckle*
Then there was the snowball fight with the XO, but that's a different story.

Hey Corin, you been spreading yer germs this way?? The Wizard came home from work early today (left work at about 2:00PM) with dizziness, nausea, and feeling puny in general. He has been sleeping since he got home today.

His Christmas party at work started 30 minutes ago. I had/have no intention of waking him to drive an hour in this insipid rain with him feelin so badly.

I am trying to keep him somewhat quarantined just in case it's the flu.

Go 20 miles south of Lawton and you're in Texas. Keep going another 20 miles and you're at my front door! :-)

The number one thing to remember if it is the flu...

Wash your hands well after dealing with him.

Don't touch your eyes, or nose when you are dealing with him.

Poor Prof...sounds like he's really got it, though...
