Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

It took us SIX HOURS (!!!!!) to get those two horses ready for the hunt. They had to have their whiskers, ears, and fetlocks clipped, then a full bath and conditioner and Show Sheen everywhere but on the mane, THEN since my daughter has never braided I had to braid BOTH horses . . . Gracie mare has a rather sparse mane, so it's difficult to braid it neatly, and Magnum is very head shy due to an ear infection he had years ago. So it took a long time . . . but the results I think fully justified the work, they looked their best.
The hunt ran for almost three hours, the hounds found once but didn't run the fox very far. Lots of checks and sitting around while the hounds drew covert after covert, but we got in some good gallops and some excellent jumping. Unfortunately the country is two hours away in Commerce GA so we had to get up at 4:00 a.m. . . . ugh. And then after cooling out and loading the horses we faced another two hours drive home . . . oh, well, I still think it was worth it. Hunting can be habit forming.

You are a nut! LOL It's nothing between my toes...my toes and feet look great. It's just the edge of my heels, worse on the interior part of my heels. It just got very dry, then CRACK! Yowcharooski!

I decided a couple of years ago that my olive oil smelled too much like food too. Now I stick mint and rosemary in the bottle with the olive oil I put on my feet and it don't smell like I'm cooking. :-)

G'nite folks. World returns to normal in the a.m. (boys go back to school). Here's an Entmoot nightlight.

I still can't hear Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue without getting a little teary eyed chill! A good teary eyed chill ya know. Like I'm just about to go kick somebody's butt!

Then again, I could stay around for 15 more posts just to deny PE the triple precious...

Ha! Good idea! I have both of those items!
I wonder if plain old veg oil would do just as good? I hardly ever let Steve buy olive oil because of the cost, he might balk at me getting some to just rub on my feet! LOL

Maybe a pecan log from Stuckeys.Durn, it's been toooo long since I've done any long distance driving. Used to love seeing stuckey's and such coming up.

But I would've bet money that we could have turned it into this much of a conversation! - If anyone can, we can. You got that right! If I had a list of things I would not have ever thought would be interesting conversation topics here this would have been on it! :-)

I loved the pomp and circumstance of grooming for show.... I wish I could have come over to help. I was particularly good at pulling and braiding. I do doll up Bay sometimes in the summer.... I still like to clip from the knee down in summer because it looks so tidy, and trim his face nicely. My trail-ridin' buddies don't notice what's done, but they do sometimes observe that he looks fancy somehow.
Hunting is something I never did, though. Didn't travel in the right circles, hangin' out at Arab shows.

Cracked heels. Super glue and then the Lotil or Zim's.
I think the guy sells the Zim's out of his basement. He sure didn't consult any marketing folks before he developed the name OR the packaging:
The Lotil looks a little more normal . . .
