Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

You don't wanna be the wimmin at a bachelor party...trust me on this.Hate to break this to ya buddy, but I've been to lots more bachlor parties as a guest than bachelorette parties. And most of 'em were biker bachelor parties. No tame guys there.... well cept one time... and it was just boring.

Ya see, I said I would have a bachelorette party for you - because I think you and I would see pretty much eye to eye about this thing.
Uh..... don't know how many other ladies here would want to be there though..... MBY would! I'd make her. She'd like it!

Oh, and I did send some packages to a marine way back the first month of the war! It wasn't a hobbit hole effort. Just a kid of a friend of mine. But, it was kinda from the Hobbit Hole - cause it was from me!If he's still deployed overseas, we should still be sending to him, too. We can't let any of these guys fall through the cracks. I'll send you some funds to help with postage as soon as things quiet down for me, later this week.
BTW, do we have any count of engraved and non-engraved HHD knives we've bought so far? I'm losing track, although I haven't checked the Smoky site to see if they have a history of my orders.

I'm going to go down for the evening. not gonna say it...
To: Professional Engineer
Heh, no, there's only one of me. I've seen him posting here and there, have thought about greeting him as a fellow Yooper but haven't yet.
To: Corin Stormhands
ROFLOL missed that one.
To: Professional Engineer
That's okay. It's muh job.

The young man I was sending to was wounded when his vehicle was hit and rolled. He is safe now but did not get sent back. One of the other 2 guys in the vehicle was killed. I think I mentioned him on the thread back when this was happening but maybe not because the time frame was when my Grama was so bad.
His dad is the former marine I often speak of as Myranda's surrogate dad.
Oh, I think I've sent 26 knives myself.

Clarification. 26 of our special knives. There were those others that we sent before we had the special ones. I can't remember the count on those.

Hmmmm. Wish I could see you in Ft. Hood. Do you know where the drive-in picture show is in Gatesville? They will be showing Return of the King there at that time. I will be seeing it there 4 or 5 times in the 2 weeks prior to your little trip to Ft. Hood.
Will you be on the main post - or at North Fort Hood? Do you know?

Nite folks. Here's a real nice nite lite.
To: Corin Stormhands
Yes, but it's one thing to be invited as a guest, quite another as the entertainment.
Well, there ya go.

Nope. Never been on that side of the party! Always just one of the guys. Some days it's good that they all think you're one of 'em. Some days it ain't so good! Bachelor parties are good! :-)
Of course in recent years after divorces and such I have been proposed to by 2 of those guys whose bachlor's parties I attended! That's kinda weird!!!
