-5 at the moment. Winter really has set into the Midwest, and Santa is just around the corner. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
I've taken a break from talk radio for awhile, and have been listening to one of our local radio station's play of nonstop Christmas music. It has been a tonic in light of the latest Supreme Court ruling. (I did see Scalai's(Sp?) dissention. Excellent.)
Hope you all have a great day.
Happy (belated)Birthday, Molly!
Good to see you up on this fine morning.
Guennie... I mean't to thank you for all the wonderful information you gave about Disney World. We are so looking forward to this first time trip.Thank you!
How is the weather looking in a couple of weeks? Any long range forecasts out yet?
Gotta be warmer there than here, right?
Well good buddy... don't get FOX News... but we still get the Farm Report with our buddy Orin Samuelson.(sp?)
When I grow up I wanna be just like you and own my own farm.(Or maybe be a pirate...*grins*)
Heck...almighty... we used to have farms all around us, including sheep farmers. Can't believe how much heat they give off when they are sheared. (We'd help shear them during the coming of the lambing season to keep the lambs from freezing.)I loved that work... fortunately we could come and go.
Baling hay is still the best kind of work. I love it.
This morning it's 48 degrees, but the day will warm up quickly.
The past couple weeks we average in the 70's during the day, with 40's to 50's at night.
This is considered our normal winter weather.
And you're welcome on the Disney info......Let me know if you have more questions.
Personally, I think EPCOT is the most fun.
It has something for all....adults and children.
One side of the park is educational and fun rides....
...the other side are the 'countries'...and some, like England and Italy and Japan, have entertaining melodramas or musical groups on a regular basis during the day, Norway and Mexico have fun boat rides for the family, Germany has a 'Beer Garden'....France (boo, hiss :) has a really good movie in a beautiful theatre with plush seats, and an excellent French bakery.
The American Pavillion is a must see.
They have the Liberty Singers, dressed in period garb, singing patriotic music....
..and the fife and drum corp dressed in Revolutionary attire.
..but I envisioned a drunk or drugged hibitual reckless driver who might get off with a slap on the hand.
As my husband said last night, he did a lot of foolish things when he was 16.
Howwever, the point still stands that she left the scene of the accident....that will work the most against her.
Redeption....absolutely, I believe in redeption.
But it would seem the girl may already be lying by not confessing there were other folks in her car.
This will be a mess.....and I feel the most sorry for her parents, who did the right thing by calling the police.
You're always welcome to stop by and say hello. (If they haven't thrown us out!)
Thanks for the updates... it is appreciated more than you know.
God Bless!
