I'll be happy to do the linking for you Friday night and Saturday night. I have late nights out both nights, so will do it when I arrive home. Have a wonderful time with your grandkids.

My evening was just as wonderful as I thought it would be. Not. The Christmas social was rather interesting. I shouldn't be so critical, it was nice to see four men I used to work with. I'm glad they were there though, nothing like trying to start small talk with a stranger over a plate of food.
Two of my former co-workers were made permanent employees last week at their companies (all four work at the same company.) The other two expect to be made full-time after Christmas. In some ways I was a bit jealous, but listening to them talk, they were back in the same old rat-race of insane deadlines and pressure. I think the job I got suits me much better, and even if it takes longer to get permanent status, I think I will benefit in the long run...I hope.
And the contract agency gave us a gift. A pretty interesting gift. It is a collapsible cooler thingie on wheels. State of the art it is for sure. When it is full there are two places where you can put your 12 oz drink in a can. And there is an AM/FM radio built in front with connections for your boom box to play music. Did I mention this was on wheels with a handle too? I may have just found the present for my dad...
