So what? I love the original Star Trek as much as anyone, but if someone were to remake the classic show using new actors to play the orignal characters (something I’ve been wishing for) I’d watch with interest. And if it sucked? Oh well, it’s just a TV show.
Fans of the first Galactica who automatically hate this show are being juvenile. They should give the new version a chance and judge it on its own merits. If in their opinion it sucks, fine, they can watch the classic show on tape.
If the producers wanted people to do so, they should have presented it on its own merits (i.e. made it a new show rather than a remake of an old one).
