Boycotting movies and actors that aren't worth the effort, or really do not deserve to be boycotted, demeans the entire purpose and effectiveness of boycotts.

I've been looking forward to these movies since they started filming seven years ago. I thought the first two were fantastic and walked out of the second literally counting the days to the third. LOTR is one of the finest stories ever told and filled to the brim with conservative values. And now you think I shouldn't go to the third because Viggo turns out to be an airheaded liberal arts major. Exactly who are we seaking to punish?! Viggo is going to get about 1/100 of a cent from my 7 bucks, it'll be decades before somebody tries to make LOTR into movies again if ever and I'll probably be dead by then. No way I'm boycotting it.
