The loonies all must've gotten a 24 hr pass, and headed to the library today, just to sign up on FR and post worthless drivel like this.

Ok, loser you need another few bong hits.

Inhale... Hold.... Exhale...

Inhale... Hold.... Exhale...

Inhale... Hold.... Exhale...

How's that? Better? Good! Now bend over and take your ZOT!

Me:LOL! I didn't "villify any "religion". Simple stated a logical rule - two opposing doctrines can NOT be true at the same time.

You: "Well, by your comment you seemed to be advocating that the 'true' religion should try to defeat the 'untrue' religion. I inferred that defeating a religion would necessitate villifying it..

Me: Obviously, since you can't discern ... amongst other things ... the "conflict" is that one belief is true and the other is false..."

Me: You don't have to "villify" anything to show that it is false. Those less articulate may feel the need to resort to name calling but evidence doesn't have feelings. Let the evidence speak for itself.

You: "Obviously they cannot both be true, but obviously they can both be false. Your flawless logic didn't catch that one. "

Me: There is no logic needed to determine that two statements can be false, however logic dictates that two opposing doctrines or statments can NOT be true at the same time. You seriously need to consider a logic course.

You: "Oh. There's proof that one religion is true? Someone should probably call the other religions and clue them in then.. "

Me: Sure there is "proof" however some refuse to see it. That is why NO two opposing religions can be true at the same time. One has MORE evidence to support it while the other is wishful thinking. A logical person would be able to discern the difference.

Me: Why not let evidence speak for itself? Why not eliminate a false belief through evidence. At one time people believed the earth was square. Should that belief NOT be eliminated? Evidence indicate otherwise. According to you it would be better off to disregard the evidence of the falseness of the belief. LOL!

You: "LOL!.. Anyway.. If I managed to convince every human that the world was flat, it wouldn't make my claim any more true. The same would be true if one religion 'won.' But I forgot, you're religion is true, and the rest are false. How altruistic of you. "

Me:BUT the evidence SUPPORTS you. Of course not all will avail themselves to the evidence. Some will continue to belief what they wish despite the facts. I have no clue as to why you can't make the connection with religion. One is true but tow opposing religions can NOT be true at the same time. It's not a matter of being "altruistic". It's simply a truism.

Me: It's not about "veracity to its tenets" either. It's all about what is true and what is false. A short course in logic would do wonders in cleaning up you thinking."

You: A short trip to websters would clean up your thinking... "veracity to its tenets" means the same thing as "whether its true or false."

Me: Veracity is about being true but LOGIC is what will help you properly apply that. Odd how you can understand what "veracity to its tenets" is but you are UNABLE to apply it to such a SIMPLE and OBVIOUS situation.

Me: Try not just memorizing words but APPLYING them and EXAMINING their IMPACT on situations. You probably don't realize this but you defeated yourself by using this phrase. You simply don't like the outcome and refer to it as "altruistic". How childish.

Okay, well. I think this quoting everything is getting a little out of hand, so I'll try to slim it down..

"however logic dictates that two opposing doctrines or statments can NOT be true at the same time. You seriously need to consider a logic course."

First of all, nowhere did I disagree with you that two opposing doctrines cannot both be true, in fact I said exactly "Obviously they cannot both be true." I'm not sure why you put this sentence in.

Now, what proof is there that one religion (I assume yours) is the right and true religion? There's alot of evidence that certain religions are innaccurate, but I've never seen convincing evidence that proves the accuracy of any religion. Our argument seems to hinge on this supposed proof, so what is it you're referring to?

Oh, and I was being sarcastic, referring to your intentions as altruistic.. Childish, maybe.. but I made my point.
