Basically, I couldn't breathe and I was gasping for air. My heart was "flipping out" in my chest. It felt like it was skipping nine out of ten beats. My lungs and airways felt like a lit fireplace was burning inside Described it pretty good.
I didn't know I was allergic to MSG until eating at a Chinese buffet (OK, maybe I'm allergic to dog) years ago; they loaded their sauces with MSG and I thought I was having a heart attack - but I was in excellent physical condition. Now if I take in too much, my hearts races and pounds like it's about to come out of my chest; head feels like it's about to launch into orbit; arms get heavy and ache...basically feel like you're about to go.
I can take it in small amounts, but try and find something that it's not in!
MSG is poison. There is nothing good about it, at all.

Great article! I learned about MSG years ago when I would get a terrible migraine headache, but only after eating at my favorite Chinese restaurant. Only then. I started watching for it, and now most Chinese restaurants don't use MSG any more. It can be avoided.
