He was a great guitar player before you were born.

-------------------------

Was he as good as Byrd, Segovia, Breem, Burrel, Atkins, or Williams? Could he teach like Sopocles Poppas? In the early '60s at the old Showboat in Washington, D. C. Byrd ysed to spend an evening going through the entire history of the Guitar and play selections from each period and style. He excelled in the classics, jazz, and even the Brazilian style. Could this guy do that?

Good Gawd guy! Could anyone? It is impressive however that he could "rail the axe" and also at the same time maintain a business attitude to bring the group to finacial euphoria because of his talents.

Ah, the old SHOWBOAT, yes. What a dump, what music!

I'm waiting for one of those Eddie Van B.B. Clapton lektric gittar heroes to say just once "we have too many gittar heroes and not enough balalaika heroes!"

Current favourite: Potzi, Django Reinhardt influenced guitarist in the group Paris Combo!
