I think it was a helicopter. Still, one of the funniest TV moments in history.

Anybody have a link to a video clip from that episode? That makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Ranks up there with the Big Guy's other famous line:
"I've got a monkey on my foot! I've got a monkey on my foot!"

It would be great if some station could just play this in a continual loop on Thanksgiving. The country could use a giant dose of humor now.

I was thinking of this TV show and episode this AM because it was reported on a news show that a Radio Station had dropped a turkey (frozen/dead) about 300 ft on a picture. I didnt hear who's picture it was because I had to leave for work.

I never seen that one.
OH MY THAT IS FUNNY!!!!
To: Snardius
Yes, that is my favorite TV moment of all time. When Mr Carlson said "as god is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly", I fell out of my chair laughing. WKRP was one of the funniest shows of all time. I was so surprised when it was cancelled at the height of it's ratings. If the networks would go back to more shows like that, they would stop the hemmorage of viewers.

"WKRP in Cincinnati" in which the station concocted the idea of a "turkey drop" in which people from the station went up in a hot air balloon and dropped frozen turkeys." Two corrections, it was a helicopter and "LIVE" turkeys!
