My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

There was a girl from Nantuckett
who had seashells in her bucket
she sold them on the wharf and
the seashore of course
and Macy's on
a good day for
sixpence and aces
and warm place to lay!
This girl from Nantuckett
would have like to say
frigate
but good up bringing
and pose made her
shy away from the boys
and sell her seashells
at the seashore of Nantuckett.
Now see here CG the level to which I have sunk!!! LOL
To: Colonel_Flagg
Hey Colonel!!!
Jump in that last one I wrote! LOL
Tonight the dream weaver will visit you
and you and your love will be one.

ROTFLOL!!
To: bentfeather
Was her name Sally?
Sally sells seashells down by the seashore.
She also owns seashell kiosks in malls all over the country.
She is rich.
BTW
How much wood would a wood duck duck if a wood duck would duck wood?
Discuss.

A wood duck could duck
a cord or two
in the shady pines
on the open battle field
he'd have to duck behind
the blinds
Now in the reeds
and all those weeds
his head would spin
a time or two
And he'd duck the
dirty puck in the
wood shed too.

That was the 60's dude.

I will soon be putting up Thread VI of
The Dragon Flies' Lair.
Since it is you poets who make this thread a success, do any one of you have suggestions regarding changes you would like to see made in the layout.
For example, do you wish for it to stay a free style of poetry writing as you wish. This means Haiku, Prose, Free Verse, (you know bentfeather is gonna do that) LOL.
I am so pleased with all of you poets who come here and post.
It's your thread so feel free to offer suggestions.
To: Conspiracy Guy
I have not eaten wood duck. Are they the feet to beak guys?
To: bentfeather
I'd like a nice Tiffany Lamp and maybe some greenish/gold Carnival Glass. Some antique furniture and a fireplace would be nice too. Maybe a skylight and a spa.
Nah, it's fine like it is.

Not so greasy like Mallard. The breast cut into strips is best way to prepare what I was talking about.
Wood Duck and Teal, Make the best meal.
Dang that rhymes.

Let's see....
I think I like it just the way it is. Free form and a comfortable place to visit when we can.
I like knowing when I have the time and the mood strikes me that I can safely come here to post my prose among friends.
Thank you for this place feather.
