                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thank you Colonel. I love your piece, too. Very pretty.
To: bentfeather
Aww .. I'm blushing. Thank you for the kind words. I did have a dream last night and it was the most wonderful thing I've experienced in some time. What you read just flowed from me as stream of consciousness.
Now if I could only get the tagline right while I'm in the lair! :)

Fantastic!! That is the way it should be. Flowing free. Wonderful! I am happy for you regarding the dream. It was healing for you.

I read your tagline and *chuckled.* It's fine.
You have been around FR for a bit I see from your Profile Page. I'm glad you found your way into The Lair via snippy and Sam.
The Lair is open 24/7 so any time the mood hits go ahead and post.

You have been around FR for a bit I see from your Profile Page. I have, yes. I owe my presence here to Snippy, who has very graciously offered to help me put up a better page. Or any page, to be more accurate. She and Sam have been very good to me and very patient *with* me.

    And there you were
Seeming to slide inside my skin
 Close, again, to my heart
  Lovely...

Doggone, ms. feather! Missed ya! It's taking longer to find new dragonflies.....I have to try to remember which ones I've already found. "CRS" tends to make that a little difficult sometimes. LOL!!
Good night and sweet dreams. Catch ya tomorrow.
Thanks for the dose of Phil.

I'm still here for a tiny bit. Thanks so much for the lovely Dragon Fly. I have them all saved. I am dog tired tonight. Up too early today!!
To: bentfeather
*snicker* Hard to leave, ain't it? Been there too many times myself and know it well. ROTFLOL!

Get some sleep dear friend. You've had plenty going on lately and are probably in "sleep deprivation mode" by now. I've had a bit of that myself and am just now starting to get caught up. Kinda sorta. :-)

    Morning.
Current topside weather is 44 degrees, wind variable from the west, and rain.

Good morning Dark. Gloomy and overcast here. No rain yet. Temp 37F, Humidity 97%.
To: bentfeather
Fairly dark an dovercast here with the rain.
They expect it to go back to either sleet or snow later on, and the wet roads to freeze.
Most of the schools around here were on a two hour delay.

On the Street Where You Live

I have often walked down this street before
But the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before
All at once am I several stories high
Knowing I'm on the street where you live

Are there lilac trees in the heart of town?
Can you hear a lark in any other part of town?
Does enchantment pour out of every door?
No, it's just on the street where you live

And oh, the towering feeling just to know somehow you are near
The overpowering feeling that any second you may suddenly appear

People stop and stare, they don't bother me
For there's nowhere else on earth that I would rather be
Let the time go by, I won't care if I
Can be here on the street where you live

    Eeek.
We had nice sized rain landing here.
This kind of weather dulls your senses and robs you of sight when you need it.

Oh I know the feeling. I think this gloom is one reason my grandparents on my moms side decided to settle here. It's like Finland in winter, gloomy. I call these months "The Mole Months. "

    Sam,

Love today's poem/song lyric! Another winner.

Thanks for Breakfast and tunes.
I am loving the tunes. Romance is in the air in The Lair!
