If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning Colonel. Which one would that be?

Let me put a filter on it for you baby??
To: bentfeather
"The Other Day". This is very intriguing to me. :)

Oh yes, that was done last year. Cause some thinking, eh?
To: bentfeather
Indeed it does. And offers hope to me, in a rather profound way. So thank you :)

       So Fine on the Vine

Silvering of years leave vines gnarled and hues
 roughened to worn black
 as sweet dreams became
 silvered with age
 knotty deep and unforgiving
 of bending round objects
 laid on the young vine
 cat walks for the young?

Was the saturation, too much, or the dreams
 beyond achievement
 unrealistic on the canvas
 ruining brushes future use
as the twig is bent so grows
 the vine so fine
etched in the face of life
 highways and byways
 roads maps to
 an irrational exuberance
 and unrestrained, bursting
 to be forever young
with the fury of a wild horse
 jumping the young vines

I shall be forever young... the vine is so fine
 with new life
 loving that consumes all
 causing things to crash
 at midnight the mind
 whirls in excitement
 the colors flash
 and deepen in hue

       So Fine on the Vine

If Ever I Would Leave You

If ever I would leave you
 It wouldn't be in summer.
Seeing you in summer I never would go.
 Your hair streaked with sun-light,
 Your lips red as flame,
 Your face with a lustre
 that puts gold to shame!

But if I'd ever leave you,
 It couldn't be in autumn.
How I'd leave in autumn I never will know.
 I've seen how you sparkle
 When fall nips the air.
 I know you in autumn
 And I must be there.

 And could I leave you
 running merrily through the snow?
 Or on a wintry evening
when you catch the fire's glow?

If ever I would leave you,
How could it be in spring-time?
Knowing how in spring I'm bewitched by you so
 Oh, no! not in spring-time!
 Summer, winter or fall!
No, never could I leave you at all!

    My years are etched inside
My face will never show
The passage of time goes by
Forever lays before me
And never the years will show
Cursed appearance of eternal youth
An age I'll never seem
No lines to crease my visage
No way to turn my page
The mirror knows my rage
Dorian Grey is my cage

Sam,

These lyrics are by far the most beautiful of song lyrics.

Thank You.
To: bentfeather
I'm almost embarressed to admit I liked most of the music from Camelot. "If Ever I Would Leave You" was one of the best.

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face...

Song lyrics so true
I knew I truly do love you
 those fleeting moments
I held you with my eyes
 while my heart was pounding
 with unbelief that you really
 flesh and blood were within
 my reach and those moments
are the life blood that move me
forward and fill my cup with joy

The sound of your voice I play over
in my mind... to hear you laugh
 and share you with me
nights you are my last thought
mornings my first and you run
gentle over my mind.... I smile
 at your image ...

A soft haunting washes me warm
 with your love
 across so many miles
I in my soul's secret recess
know all is well and I am your gem
and you are the warmth causing the glow
The First Time Ever I Saw You Face.

I dreamed of you last night
It was as easy as closing my eyes
 And there you were
 Oh, your sweet smile
Your eyes looking up at me with wonder
As you did that first perfect night

I dreamed of you last night
After asking God to let me find
You, in the place no one else knows
 And there you were
Seeming to slide inside my skin
 Close, again, to my heart

I dreamed of you last night
So thankful, happy to be mine
Two in love, joined at the heart
 And there you were
 Your touch so welcomed
 My dearest and always

I dreamed of you last night
When I woke, there was no sadness
Simply the feeling of your love
 And there you were
 Your kiss so dear
 And you are forever mine

I saw Venus tonight
 shining bright
 she a light guiding me
 to you and a promise
 true of love forever...

And flights with My Dragon Fly
 high, high in the sky
 just we two lovers
 in the morning dew
 My Dragon Fly and I
 are two...

Velvet are your wings
 soft...on my thighs
 our heights ascend
higher in the cold black sky
 on the jet stream wind
 enchantment wins
 Our star in sight
 Dragon Fly Delight

I'll look for you in Scorpio
you look for me in Cancer
Loving one another is the answer
Just My Dragon Fly and I
 Soaring the night sky...
