[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Winter Walk



It's winter now
I walk along in velvet shoes
in a soundless space
footsteps quiet footsteps slow
gliding along the veils of white lace

I rewalk footsteps made by someone I don't know
As I walk along in a wilderness peace
I tighten my fleece
the crystals that dangle shines a rainbow
I look down and take another step in the snow
as I walk along in my velvet shoes

I sure can if my broken back can hold up to up and down the ladder.

Now comes the kick ass news. The plumber is coming back next week to remove old cast iron pipes in my bedroom which belong to the upstairs apartment. This was a private home 200 years ago, it has 16 rooms.
Over the years a single owner could not handle expenses so it was broken up into four apartments. Two downstairs and two upstairs. I have the best of the apartments. My rooms are huge. The ceilings are nearly 15' high.

I do not own this place, I rent. I did not hire these painters, but I danged sure got rid of them. Out of my four rooms they worked in not a one of them is completely done. Bathroom has to have touch up work done.

Bedroom, now with the plumber thingy I'm glad I opted out of doing side walls at this time. Just the ceiling was done in there and the new chandelier hung. Kitchen ceiling and sidewalls done but one side of the island was forgotten by the painter. :-( The living room ceiling and sidewalls, all woodwork with four different colors of paint.

Sooooooo, I have to finish the woodwork and do the rest of the touch up stuff. My daughter and I some years back painted the entire bathroom using two colors of paint in one day. Two painters could not finish one room.

Glad this is not out of my pocket.
