My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning everyone in The Lair!
Wow SAM you beat me in this morning!!
I like the Friends poem this morning, thank you, Sam.

For some reason, I am hearing Patsy Cline in my head as I read your work. Best parallel I can draw is "Crazy".
Good morning to you. I hope you're off to a great start today!

And good morning to you! Sorry for not responding yesterday, my old and weary head was out like a light quite early last night.
I trust you are having a wonderful time.

Good morning Colonel!! LOL
Yes, I can identify with you comment! There have been one or two who have said that over the years!
So far so good, thanks. Things are gonna get hectic in a few minutes though, painters are coming back and I shall be abolished from my computer corner. I will be so glad when this project is done.

Colonel,
Did you know Willie Nelson wrote Crazy?

Did you know Willie Nelson wrote Crazy? No, I didn't. I must admit that C&W isn't first on my list of music faves but that song has always gotten to me.
How long do the painters expect to need? I just had my bathroom done a couple of weeks ago and it seemed like it would never get done. =\

Painters:
It will be several days yet. Yesterday it was madness, two painters and one plumber working in the bathroom. The plumber drove out the painter, or was it the landlord? They then moved into my living room, they are finishing painting the ceiling and sidewalls.
It will just have to be madness until it's completed.

Good morning feather.
Good morning Darksheare.
We'll be hanging around SAM's house most of the day. Thanks for covering so much ground for us yesterday while we were away getting me settled in. :)

Good morning Colonel. Don't worry about not answering right away, heck sometimes pings get lost in the many we do get! I know you still like me! :)
I'm having a wonderful time.

Well, some pings are more important than others. :)
A quiet morning here. Listening to some relaxing music at the office and keeping my nose to the grindstone. Enjoy vacation :)

LOBO
A wolf sifting through the thickest of woods,
is a shadow among shadows, a ghost among ghosts.
Drifting down slope like a zephyr, as silent as he should,
apart of everything about him, aware of most.
He moves through the day into night with skillful ease,
a hunter with the skills to live where others so often fail.
Cunning unto genius and always aware of all he sees,
the wolf is perfect in design from nose to tip of tail.
He watches all through golden eyes and keeps the secrets there,
and moves as the spirit calls through hallowed evergreen halls.
Seeing but not often seen, the hunter moves with care,
and many never see the wolf so close, as evening gently falls.

Rose Run
When running for the roses, does one see them?
Does one take the time to feel the beauty of the bush, to smell the aroma of the bud, to touch the velvet of the petal?
Or does one just run for the roses as fast as one can? To fall through the windows of life without quest, to search for the honey on every thorn? To hurt from the sting of ones heart being torn?
Run for the roses through life will always be, the way that I do it. Take life and laughter, pain too, for me. So I'll run for the roses as fast as I can.
