~The Dragon Flies' Lair V~
November 25, 2003 | bentfeather

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Who Ambushed Who?

Black-hearted sons of camel dung hid along the ancient road,
looking to catch some poor Americans, and on them drop a load!
But they didn’t understand the folks who came along,
were all to willing to sing them a dirge for a welcome song.

Bullets flew, and rockets too, and tanks roared out their note of Doom,
and the evil camel offspring knew Death had put them in its loom.
40 and more died that day, and heartless, one and all,
and the only standing after the end, were Americans, standing tall.

Hit and run had just become hit and fall for every evil thug,
crushed beneath the might of troops adapt at pulling the proverbial rug.
What a loss, what a shame that evil couldn’t stand up again,
for we're in the mood to add a heaping helping to their pain!

Terror to the terrorists, in our sights and their dead-on,
and make them learn to flinch when the local news comes on.
Open season with no limit to keep the vermin down,
like cockroaches in the night, surly Orkin bound!

HOT DAMN! Terrorist Flambue with a side of Ass-whop! I like it!

Yep, tomorrow morning to be exact. I've asked miss feather and Darksheare if they'd help keep an eye on the Foxhole though SAM and I don't plan on not being away for long periods of time except one or two days.

We have at least one long day planned on the coast, and perhaps one up to see the wolves, other than that we should be around, just out and about as the mood hits us. LOL. We are going to have some great fun!

Can you tell I'm excited?

Thank you feather. It's going to be fun and I can certainly use some time away from here, but most importantly, I'll be with my partner and friend and we have lots of fun when we're together. :)

It May or May Not Be Your Day

At last--Today's your Special (1) Day!

The World (2) all stops to shout hooray(3) !

We(4) wish you peace and joy and fun

Today you're the exalted(5) one.

So have a drink (6) or a cigar (7),

Go to the beach (8) or buy a car. (9)

And cut a piece of chocolate cake (10)

Just after (11) a big juicy steak.(12)

And everywhere you go (13) today

The crowds (14) will part, as people (15) say,

"Oh bliss, oh glee, oh happy joy!" (16)

And thrill to see the birthday boy. (17)

So dance (18) and sing and have a ball! (19)

A Happy Birthday from us (20) all!

1 Except where this day is a holiday celebrated by other cultures, or others whose birthday should fall on this day, respecting the effect of the International Dateline.

2 Or, more properly, the portion of the world immediately surrounding you, which may differ significantly in any way from other cities, towns, or countries, all of which are valid and important in their own right.

3 Except persons speaking other languages, who may shout whatever version of "hooray" their specific culture supports.

4 "We" being any who consent to such a wish, not including persons of differing viewpoints who may dissent.

5 Not to imply others may be any less exalted, either today, or on their own birthdays, or any day of their choosing.

6 This does not endorse excessive alcohol use, nor does it condone such irresponsible behavior as drinking and driving. We support completely the objectives of 12-step groups and other support organizations.

7 Except in no-smoking areas, or in sitations where second-hand smoke may harm or offend others in the vicinity. Not an endorsement of the tobacco industry or of this or any other addictive behavior.

I must write something about the value of a friend.
A precious gem held so close to the heart.

Yes, a true friend. I've tried a few times though I'm not sure I've conveyed my thoughts with as much depth as I feel.

We plan to have no plans, just enjoy the time together and play it by ear. (Except for a promised trip to the coast)
