My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Weaver
My life is but a weaving, between my God and me,
I do not choose the colors, He worketh steadily.
Ofttimes he weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper, and I the underside.
Not till the loom is silent, and the shuttles cease to fly,
Will God unroll the canvas, and explain the reasons why
The dark threads are as needful in the skillful weaver's hand
As threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.
He knows, He loves, He cares,
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives His very best to those
Who leave the choice with Him.

A Woven Life
The fabric of my life
woven string by string.
First string of childhood memories,
as cobwebs in an attic.
Making a fanatic for weaving
fabric from shards of glass, bits
and pieces of interrupted maturation.
Interrupted by shocking
hurtful events to the psyche,
crushing the spirit til nearly dead.
OhHallelujah ridges span cross
the depths of despair
opening to roads of lamé and silver.
Festooned with diamonds and jade.
Purple surrounds the flowering soul.

Captain Heart
A lavender gown faded tattered
hung in the closet
a faint aroma of lavender
drifted from the old garment
She stood at midnight
moonlight beaming in
through the window
her silky silhouette tall, lean,
beauty, in lavender lace
Bone China face
hands of a fragile femme
opulent riches surround
her frame while she
celebrates the ceremony
meant for two... two glasses
lavender roses...
dinner in chambers
midnight love
Moving with the grace
of a fragile butterfly
her movements
synchronized with
full moon waxing yellow glow
toward a shadowy figure
emerging from a black recess
the Captain of her heart
symphony of exquisite rhapsody
of love...candlelight and moonbeams
Captain of Her Heart...

I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.

STAIND "So Far Away"
This is my life
It's not what it was before
All these feelings I've shared
And these are my dreams
that I'd never lived before
Somebody shake me 'cause I
I must be sleeping
Now that we're here,
it's so far away
All the struggle we thought was in vain
All the mistakes,
one life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here it's so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive, and I'm not ashamed
To be the person that I am today
These are my words
That I've never said before
I think I'm doing okay
And this is the smile
That I've never shown before
Somebody shake me 'cause I
I must be sleeping
Now that we're here,
it's so far away
All the struggle we thought was in vain
All the mistakes,
one life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here it's so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive, and I'm not ashamed
To be the person that I am today
I'm so afraid of waking
Please don't shake me
Afraid of waking
Please don't shake me

Nice work.
To: bentfeather
Not mine, it's by Staind, a semi-metal rock band.
But I like the song.
If I could find a GOOD link to the song..
but one has to slog through www.staind.com and hit the albums button.
Then you see the page listing lyrics and the tunes.
Or, at least, you should.

Being here is strange
blasting me with your kiss
Show the patience of the hunter
redeeming me with the catch
So precious you know
until your mind exploded
I'm so deranged you know
I will never be the same
About all I have of it at the moment, inspired by a song.
Probably perpetually unfinished.

On gossamer wings
the Dragon Fly sings
his song of love..
Poets' know from where
he goes.. the Dragon Fly
who has no toes.
bentfeather

Autumn

Silent nests in fleshless trees,
Which shed dry green tears
In a crying wind.
