Colorado in the summer and in early fall is very nice, and those are generally the times I go back there to visit. The long Colorado winters may be fine for skiing, but I gave up skiing when I was 19 because I simply do NOT do cold. I am a spring and summer kind of person and love to be outdoors...and relatively warm. About the extent of my willingness to adjust for the cold is occasionally wearing a wetsuit for springtime rafting in the chilly mountain air (not to mention icy water).

My fourth grade homeroom teacher's brother was in the Park Service in Colorado.
He mentioned being on a horse and having lightning knock him off said horse.
He also mentioned it being a long lonely walk back to the Ranger Station.

Speaking of being out doors...
My afternoon was spent shooting with friends.
Cheers, all.
