Law talk!

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place! Enjoy!!

Q: Are you sexually active?
A: No, I just lie there.

Q: What is your date of birth?
A: July 15th.
Q: What year?
A: Every year.

Q: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
A: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.

Q: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
A: Yes.
Q: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
A: I forget.
Q: You forget? Can you give us an example of something that you've forgotten?

Q: How old is your son, the one living with you?
A: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which.
Q: How long has he lived with you?
A: Forty-five years.

Q: What was the first thing your husband said to you when he woke up that morning?
A: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?"
Q: And why did that upset you?
A: My name is Susan.

Q: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo or the occult?
A: We both do.
Q: Voodoo?
A: We do.
Q: You do?
A: Yes, voodoo.

Q: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
A: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

Q: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he?

Q: Were you present when your picture was taken?

Q: So the date of conception of the baby was August 8th?
A: Yes.
Q: And what were you doing at that time?

Q: She had three children, right?
A: Yes.
Q: How many were boys?
A: None.
Q: Were there any girls?

Q: How was your first marriage terminated?
A: By death.
Q: And by whose death was it terminated?

Q: Can you describe the individual?
A: He was about medium height and had a beard.
Q: Was this a male, or a female?

Q: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?
A: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.

Q: Doctor, how many autopsies have you performed on dead people?
A: All my autopsies are performed on dead people.

Q: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
A: Oral.

Q: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
A: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
Q: And Mr. Dennington was dead at the time?
A: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy.

Q: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?

Q: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
A: No.
Q: Did you check for blood pressure?
A: No.
Q: Did you check for breathing?
A: No.
Q: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
A: No.
Q: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
A: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
Q: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
A: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law somewhere.

"Orgasmatron"???
That doc has been watching too much "Barbarella".

I doubt if his present model will ever be popular. Having electrodes inserted into the spine is just not sexy.

If he can develop a compact wireless model, like, say, an extra button on the TV Remote, I predict he will get richer than Dollar Bill Gates.

They pull a stunt like that in todays age .. all hell will break lose

They did it to the protestants with the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685 and they did it to the Jews in 1939.

All it will take is a big terrorist act in France, like the Twin Towers.

The Jews would be in deep trouble again if the Muslims could contain themselves, but they can't. It is inevitable that they will make major terrorist attacks in many european countries over the next few years.

While Islamic States like Pakistan and maybe Iran have a few nukes, France has over a thousand, and modern missiles and aircraft to deliver them accurately. It will be a short war.

Hi there Loddy...just a short note, to wish you and all those crazy folks on DD-Freeoples, a very Happy Thanksgiving Holiday....

I just finished shopping, and as is our custom I went hunting for the biggest turkey I could find....24lbs, is what I finally got...its hard sifting through all those big, cold, frozen turkeys, trying to find the biggest one...I am confident I got the biggest one....and also a nice big ham...seems like quite a lot of meat for just three people, me, Dom and Andy..but both my men are big, tall men, who love their meats, and love to eat...How Andy got to be 6'5" is a wonder, tho Dom is 6'2", and my own brother was about 6'6"....I am considered to be the midget at 5'6"....when I try to kiss Andy, either he has to bend way over, or I have to stand on a little 'kissing stool'...otherwise if we are both flatfooted on the floor, I wind up kissing his chest....now thats a sight....

Andy is coming down this evening, and spend the evening with one of his best friends, who still lives down in Olympia...the two boys are going to go out, and cause as much trouble as they can in tbe wild boonies of Olympia...then tomorrow afternoon, Andy will come over here, and pig out on lots of eats, and of course lots of beer....Dom will stoke up the beer cooler, and I expect, they will both eat like pigs, drink like souses, and wind up joshing around, as they inevitably do....they make me smile, they way they act, and I can see, how much they do really do love each other...Andy admires Dom so much for his military time and service...And Dom admires Andy for his intellect, his daring do attitude in life, and the successes he has had in life so far....I just love and admire them both....they are both a handful to handle, but hey, its my job, as wife and mother....

The strong bond that holds us to close together, in our thoughts, is of course, ,the tremendous loss, when we lost our Michael....we were all so devasted, all in different ways....but as a family, we held each other , and consoled amd comforted each other, as we all made our ways, back to seeing any joy in life....at all of our Holiday gatherings, whatever they may be, we always hoist a toast to Michael, and speak of him....he may be gone from earth, but he is safe with the Lord, and for that we are so thankful....his memory, his spirit, is ever present with the rest of us....

And so, on this Thanksgiving day, should one ask me what I am thankful for, much does come to mind...I have much to be thankful for....but what I am most thankful for, is my family, my Dom and my Andy who have stood steadfast with me, when I was crazy with grief when Michael died....without their love and support, I am sure I would have slowly died....And I know that Michael would not have wanted that...and I am thankful that I had my Michael for 15 yrs...it was not long enough, thats for sure, but those 15yrs, were a true blessing for me....Michael was a blessing, and I am thankful that the good Lord blessed me with him....

So, to you and yours, and all those crazy folk on DD-Freeoples, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, ,and hope that you all know and feel the love of family and friends.....that is the thing to always be most thanksful for....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING....GOBBLE, GOBBLE...

Sounds like you've got it all under control there, Valerie.

Luckily, we're guests this year...a few bottles of Llano Blush wine from the store, and I'm all done with the chores.

To: ValerieUSA; All
I am getting lots of pics from Gary.

The kids are so excited that they changed their Mom and Dad's mind and they are having Turkey and Ham instead of Grandma's pasta sauce from Italy. Gary and Lu relented, because they realized that some of the kids would have only eaten chicken fingers anyway..and Matthew didn't want the kids in school to think they were too poor to have Turkey like them.

My Dyan was drooling thinking she was having that sauce, fried Rabbit, and Brocetti (?) the rolled up stuffed steak.. whatever it's called.. Oh well, she'll get it later on.. Boo Hooo....:(

Grant wasn't able to get a ride here yesterday, and didn't call in time for me to go to Corpus Christi and get him.... Dang. Oh well, it is just going to be the two youngest boys and me this year - but the full feast. Except candied yams... no one here likes them.

Great looking kids, Gran - thanks for bringing them here.

Luckily, we're the guests today so a few bottles of Texas' Llano Blush wine, and I am done with it.

Who started this eating around 2:30pm deal?

I either not hungry, or starving at that time of day.
