My brother lives in Toledo and is a Michigan fan. His son goes to Ohio State. They headed for Ann Arbor before 8am with their two tickets.

Not sure which I want more :
Michigan to put an end to this charade or for OSU to get lucky again so that Oklahoma can totally dismantle them in New Orleans.

There is no way I can be happy with the outcome of this game unless both have to forfeit and lose.
To: commish
I can understand how you feel that way. Roll Tide.

HAIL TO THE VICTORS!!!!!!!!!!
GO MICHIGAN!!!!!!!

"...so that Oklahoma can totally dismantle them in New Orleans. Maybe, but, remember, that's what Miami fans said, too. They went home losers crying and whining about a "bad call" (WAH!). Football is a funny game, anything can happen, that's why they play the game, irony can be pretty ironic, yadda yadda yadda...

Actually Miami was not half the team Oklahoma is this year. Miami showed vulnerability all year, all that was needed to expose them was a great defense.
Last year Ohio State had a defense for the ages and an offence that was at least good enough not to give away games. This year they are a very good Defense with an atrocious offence that is winning by smoke and mirrors.
I predicted last year that the Miami-OSU game would be less than a TD and decided in the last minute. This year I would make Oklahoma at the least a 17 point favorite. The only question will be how low a score the OSU defense could hold the Sooners to, but even that wouldn't matter because the only points Ohio St would score on Oklahoma will be by defense or Special teams.
I am a Georgia fan, so I have no dog in this hunt - but I think it is a travesty that USC can get screwed by a computer formula when they are obviously a better team.

Not sure which I want more : Michigan to put an end to this charade or for OSU to get lucky again so that Oklahoma can totally dismantle them in New Orleans. Heh-heh. I remember hearing the haters saying this kind of stuff last year before the Fiesta Bowl.
Tressel has those Buckeyes winning with defense and special teams. The players may not sign big endorsement deals after draft day, due to the lack of flashy offense, but they're winners. OSU's defensive players will be contributing in the NFL for years to come while a lot of the other teams' more acclaimed offensive players are forgotten. This will be a tough game for OSU in Ann Arbor. Win or lose, I doubt anyone will be saying tomorrow that that they embarrassed themselves or that they were unprepared for the game. A hallmark of a Jim Tressel team.
It took me a long time to figure out how they kept doing it. Now, each Saturday, I just chew my fingernails down to the nub and never exhale until after the game.

Does this mean that all future sporting event threads will be moved to "chat?"
What about the NASCAR and Monday Night Football threads?

No question about it. I hope for a great game. Question: at 107,000 seating capacity is this the biggest football stadium in the US?

I know they go back and forth with Tennessee, I believe. Years ago Michigan was at about 101k and they keep adding people. I think they keep making the "seat" allotment on the benches smaller.

I believe it holds a few hundred more than Neyland Stadium in Knoxville which capacity is 109,000.

Go north until you smell it, then west until you step in it. Or in my case....follow the stench from the South that gets stronger once I pass M-36...

Further research...
Univ of Tennessee, Neyland Stadium- 104,079
Univ of Michigan, Michigan Stadium- 107,501
The extra "1" seat at Michigan Statium is Fritz Crisler's seat.

Alright!! Herbstreit picked Ohio State and Corso picked Michigan
If the Bucks win, I'd like to see them get in the Sugar Bowl and then hopefully(can't believe I'm saying this) scUM moves up to Rose and the rest of the Big 10 teams move up one so the Spartans get a better bowl.
And now I'm going to watch MSU slug it out with Penn State.
