NBC ^ | 11/11/2003 | Self

Just a heads-up that "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno just started, and the guests are John Kerry, Toby Keith and Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog. Can't wait to see what Toby has to say about Kerry's politics and what Triumph has to say about Kerry's hair-do.

Leno's monolog comment that if he won, Kerry would be the first president to ride a hog since Clinton was a fuinnier joke than anything that stupid puppet's master said for it.

I was just thinking, what is John Kerry going to do to make him look "cool?"

I started laughing when he came in on that motorcycle. How utterly stupid.

Wow, Kerry confessed he's a Vietnam Veteran.

Kerry: "Iraq could become another Vietnam.....Bush needs to get off his high horse."

Are these guys daft?

Now he says we need to beg the UN to take over Iraq.

We all know the UN has never built a successful country in the past 50 years.

I wonder how many Kerry partisans are in the audience. I bet that was pre-arranged.

Right now, he's claiming the first thing he'd do as president is go to the U.N. "with humility" and beg for them to take over in Iraq. Just what I want in a commander-in-chief: a guy who grovels in front of the U.N., turning our foreign policy and defense over to an organization that puts Libya in charge of human rights and making America look weak, vulnerable and unwilling to defend itself in the eyes of the entire world.

Bring on Toby Keith, I need an antidote all this pantywasting!

I thought Triumph was hilarious, especially when he said, "Come on, Jay! You really think this guy's gonna win? I just made a poop in my dressing room that's got more heat coming off it than John Kerry!"

I've never been much of a fan of vulgar humor - and that's all that glorfied sock-puppet was. Leno's hog joke was much better.

Did you seek Kerry try to act like he was simpatico with John Kerry? He looked so out of place on that stage. By the way, I missed the beginning of it, did Kerry drive in on a hog? Did he look as unhip as I suspect?

"Did you seek Kerry try to act like he was simpatico with John Kerry?"

A Freudian slip if ever there was one, Kerry doesn't look comfortable in his skin. He has that Gore quality.

I meant to say , did you see Kerry try to act like he was simpatico with Toby Keith and his band?

I never knew that Kerry was a Vietnam Veteran! Why didn't he tell us sooner?

(Tongue firmly planted in cheek).

Yes, he drove in on a hog. They showed him driving around in the lot, then past security? into the building. He looked ridiculous.

ou know it's highly unlikely that was Kerry.

Odds are they had a prefilmed routine done by another rider then had it played as Kerry just stood in the hall then hopped on and rode in.
