Pregnant woman plows SUV into elementary school
ABC13 Eyewitness News (11/10/03 - HOUSTON) It was a wild Monday for students at Shearn Elementary when the school was hit by an SUV.

Monday afternoon, the driver - a pregnant woman - lost control of her vehicle and plowed into two empty classrooms. HISD says the mother was going to the school to pick up her children.
No one was seriously injured in the accident.

Wow, the more I read about SUV's the more I believe they should be outlawed. You know this would never have happened if she drove a hatchback!! /sarcasm

Okay, I'm gonna ask a stupid question - why don't headlines like this just say "rammed a vehicle" instead? And they say there's no bias or incitement in the media....

I dunno. But I am trying to think back to the 70's, I don't remember the news giving the make and model/type of vehicles all the time. Ahhh the simple days :)

First we need to outlaw big oil. Then we apparently need to outlaw big women.

The media used to harp on the Suzuki Samurai. Remember? Only the Suzuki was only hazardous to its occupants.
Too many 5k pound vehicles on the road driven by angry men on meth and airhead sucker moms who love their sudden surge of "power" as they get to merrily tailgate everyone on the road as they yap away on the cellphone.

I was gonna buy some fuel efficient vehicle, then I realized trees needed my exhaust, the more I spent on gas the more jobs there would be for people at the filling stations, truck drivers to deliver it, and so on. So I did the american thing and bought a big gas guzzler to help out America.

I would be perfectly content to outlaw big women first and stop at that.

Financed by Evil Big Banking, built by oppressed union auto workers, with Evil Big Engines powered by Evil Big Oil, which causes little old ladies and children to develop asthma, emphysema, and other respiratory disorders because they kill all the trees and there's a big hole in the ozone too which also causes glaciers to melt.

Same with smoking really, when people tell me to quit I tell them it is what a true patriot does. Keeps tobacco farmers in business, the small store owners, and it is generally a product made in the USA. Same with beer too :)
