I don't get how a religious upbringing creates the monster that MiaT so ably documents...there's other forces in play that took her over to the other side, imo.

She didn't have a religious upbringing. Church was part of the social strata of her life. Unfortunately, the lib theos got hold of her at a very impressionable age. But you're right, there's a whole lot more brewing under that (sagging) skin than just liberation theology.

Joyce Milton wrote a really excellent book on Hillary - to me it is the best of the group (including Noonan's and Olson's - and you know what a fan of Olson I am, so lauding Milton's work means it really is good). The First Partner is the name of it, I believe.
