Even if only a few people noticed this shorting activity, certainly they should have alerted the authorities. However, I can imagine that with all of the rumors going around Wall Street such individuals are hesitant to be known as alarmists and so it doesn't get reported…If you are intellectually honest, you might also imagine that it is quite possible that those same individuals (seeking to avoid being known as alarmists) sensed that something was up and decided to stay home that day… Maybe there aren't that many Jews in the financial market? I, personally, have only 3 data points and they all just happen to be good Jewish friends. They all went to work that day and fortunately were not in the WTC.

Guess what, your three “data points” are accurate. Jews went to work in NYC on 9/11, just like everyone else. I’ve never seen a list broken down by religion, but if you want to make an estimate by surname you can start here

The rumor that you’ve been repeating on the thread is just that, started by, according to most reports Al-Manar Television in Lebanon. Hezbollah’s TV station. It’s terrorist propaganda, long ago debunked, but still disseminated in lots of nasty places, even on FR.

BTW, you don’t have to worry about alerting officials, they get the info first, even before the Jews working in the WTC did, largely through the real time CBOE Market Surveillance System, NYSE and NASD Market Surveillance, and the CIAs Promis system which, in fact, tracks international financial transactions as an indicator of terror attacks.

Given the fact that you’ve nothing to back up your slanders, I’d say the race baiting is to be found in your cracks about sacrificing bulls and your first born, Jessie, not the comments from the posters refuting your repetition of the “Jews skipped work 9/11” urban legend.

Make no mistake- you are the race baiters in this situation and the truth is, that no amount of clarification on my part will ever make any difference to those who are as practiced at race baiting and personal attack as you have proven yourselves to be. Let this thread be a testament to that. ;o)

I have spoken at length with my NYC friends about this, so was well aware of the monitoring. (BTW, I've sent them the link to this thread so they can see what you've done). I just wondered why the "monitoring" wasn't successful in predicting 9/11 and why those in the biz (however many there were, whoever they were) were silent about what they saw in the market sessions leading up to 9/11. It really is interesting psychology to examine the moral dilemma that one must face in such a situation. (I actually face similar ones in my line of work.)

In summary I must say that it never fails to amaze me how those who are guilty or apologists for the guilty are always the most defensive.
