I remember back in the early 60's after the ussr exploded that BIG one. Bomb shelters went up everywhere.Living in BFE it never affected us although we did do the drills at school with no shelter. I remember seeing the panic of the city dwellers on TV, I could never relate.Of course we raised all our own food anyway.Fallout shelters, do they even exist anymore?

Lots of them still in NYC.
I used to have one right next to the entrance to my building in Bklyn.
