I am wondering why the Asbury Park Press did not cover this news conference. Or did they?

I read the Press every morning and don't recall seeing anything on it. Then again, I do get the Independant delivered and managed to miss that issue during the holiday craziness. I know the area is well prepared as they were in the aftermath of 9/11. I remember when I returned home from the city that day, my train station had policemen, firemen, ambulances and other emergency vehicles at the ready in case people coming from the city needed assistance. I'll never forget that.
