Just heard BA223 should be pushing back from gate shortly only 2 1/2 hours late. Each passenger was accompanied to the plane individually and the baggage was checked twice!!

Well, appears my intelligence source (my 14 yr old sister) on the 12 hrs was incorrect. It is still the usual recommended time of 4 hrs before take-off.
Been watching Sky News here in London and they are showing live shots of the BA 223 flight. It does appear they have clearance and will likely be escorted by fighter jets into the Dulles. Sky reports that the last delay was from US authorities asking the Brits to re-check the passenger list.
Off to the Pub now. Having the shoulder of lamb and a few pints of Becks draught.
