I agree that a low-yield device would create alot of havoc in the area of the detonation. However, I am not convinced that areas outside of 2 miles of ground zero will have massive destruction.

The issue is that the low-yield creates less of a fission and more of a fizzle (according to the technical comments of others in this thread).

I have been calling Daleel 'Al Phony' for a while - nothing he says materializes and it comes off asadolescent bluster.

As for a 2 mile radius, that sounds right. Idon't knowif an atomic fireball would travel that far down the subway tunnels, but I do think severa lblocks would beon fire and won't be able to be controlled, causing explosions and messes all over town.

When the suitcase fails to lite the nuclear candle, it is then still an effective dirty bomb ... all it's innards get highly irradiated by the high, yet non-explosive neutron flux and the explosion expels fragments and aerosols that are radiocative.
