This is not really true... A characteristic of AQ attacks has always been multiple/simultaneous attacks. Ever since the first attack against US interests in Aden, Yemen; AQ has been consistant in planning out multi-faceted attacks. Recently, you have Mombasa, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and a few other attacks which all used multiple groups set out to cause harm.
