Al Qaeda has the money.

Al Qaeda has the will.

Given Laurie Mylorie's interesting hypothesis--supported by some solid evidence--that al-Qaeda is a creation of Iraqi Intelligence...

...maybe they don't have much of either any more.

Al Qaeda can get the expertise if they haven't learned it themselves. Pakistan is easy enough. Lybia, North Korea have all probably helped out, as has Iran.

None of these countries has the expertise needed to make the really small nukes.

Money talks. Money walks, Money flies. Money buys all kinds of things--even rare elements needed for nukes.

Still can't stop tritium decay, though.

Would you classify a container nuke as a

"really small"

nuke?

How complicated is tritium processing? Countries of origin?

I still think that Russia's borders were plenty open and probably still are if enough money passes hands. Shoot, doesn't the Russian mafia run major sectors of the country?

Could the origin of the tritium be detected from analysis AFTER a blast?
