He would have made the catch, but if the Cubs really want to blow the PR game, they should blame one fan for the collapse.

That ball could easily have been fouled another 10 rows into the stands, and the score would still be the same.

That's what happened to the Cub's momentum when the stupid fan caught the ball. It deflated faster than a helium balloon.

That's right. And what's more, who here among us - caught up in the excitement of a playoff fly ball coming right to them - wouldn't have tried to catch it? It was an unfortunate incident that rattled the pitcher, apparently, and unleashed the floodgates on the Cubbies.
