[Clip of] Chuck Schumer:
'First and foremost, our coalition moved as one body, House and Senate, to define the issues that Americans cared most about. We talked to Americans. We said, what is on your minds? And of course, number one: costs. The high cost of living... And second, they talked about Trump's corruption.'
[Screenshot of] JD Vance: 'The reason we lost is the war... If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.'
[...] Anthony Zurcher: Well, it's positioning ... there's no secret that JD Vance [has his eye on the 2028] for the Republican nomination. And I think they view tonight's or last night's .. [as a] very real threat to that, because he is tied at the waist...[it's] an attempt to get a little bit of daylight..what he sees as the most. The biggest problem for Trump war. He only mentions immigration important factor in many people's votes. [He hasn't mentioned] terrific at all, because [he has] that kind of political ideology. He wants this to be about [the war] , because he thinks, I guess that he can go between it [sic]. I mean, it's interesting the quote you read about... He was building more distance between himself and the rest of the House.
Sumi Somaskanda: So what does that do to the relationship between Vice President and the President?
Anthony: ... you never know what goes on behind the scenes. And as he starts watching Fox News and talking, he might get more upset about Vance trying to position himself. Donald Trump loves attention. I think that's something to keep an eye on the next two years. As all of these Republicans, not just Vance, but people, maybe like Ron DeSantis, who has been more critical recently of White House policy and become the next nominee. And Trump wants to stay in the spotlight through it...
Khashayar Joneidi to Sumi:
Well, Sumi, the Iranian leadership was very quick in claiming credit for the outcome of the election], from the very first, very first minutes announced that the Democrats have won both houses. And now what JD Vance is saying is music to the ears of the Iranian leadership... Mohsen Rezaei [the Major] general who is the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, the person who recently, just recently, JD Vance sent a letters to is one.. [of the people] who just announced that this shows that Iran's strategy is working. We managed to put pain. We managed to inflict pain on the Americans on the battlefield [in the] Straight of Hormuz and on American bases in the region. And how this is being repeating in [sic] inside America. So Iran is taking this as a claim. And they're actually very happy to see this happening... [...] Actually. Today was the 47th anniversary of the takeover of the US Embassy in [Tehran]. Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader issued a statement. He emphasized that the change of Democrats on the US does not mean an end to US hostility toward the Islamic Republic. And actually he warned that this hostility will remain..

Vance (like Tucker and their common allies Nick Fuentes and Hasan Piker) are all succeeding in becoming dead to me.
Eff JD Vance.
Eff JD Vance.
Vance was the most skeptical of the Iran operation (both public and private) from the get-go, yet followed along out of loyalty to the President.
When even Trump is now admitting that the Iran War helped cost the GOP in the midterms, why is Vance obligated to keep supporting the Iran War as a matter of foreign policy?
Ditto. The soy boy Halloween costume didn’t exactly exude masculine dominance. 😆
>> why is Vance obligated to keep supporting the Iran War as a matter of foreign policy?
Why, JD’s not obligated to support Iran at all! And I’m not obligated to place him in the cohort of the living. Ergo, he’s dead to me. As are his birds-of-a-feather pals Tucker, Fuentes, and Piker. Guess you can toss El Sayed into the dead mix.

I don’t share your sentiment on Vance.
He’s my choice for 2028, and only DeSantis is even in the ballpark as an alternative candidate.
