Bored Of Having A Good State, Texas Considers Voting Democrat

AUSTIN, TX — Bored of having a good state that people love, Texans have reportedly flocked to the polls in record numbers to try voting Democrat for a change.

According to sources, voters believe Texas has had it good for far too long. "We're the envy of most states, and everyone wants to move here. I'm sick of it!" said Duke "Big Bull" Clayton. "It's become so dull, having freedom and a growing economy. We need a change of pace, something to really make our lives miserable."

According to polls, Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico has built a significant lead and the race for governor is now a toss-up. "Texas voters are fed up with their state not being awful," said Democratic operative Sandra O'Dell. "They're ready to send a message to the folks in Austin: make our state really bad. What an exciting time to be a Texan."

"Ooo, fun!" said Becky Carlyle, a Texas native from College Station. "I've always wanted to see what it would be like if our state was terrible and made you want to flee. Yippee!"

Incumbent Governor Greg Abbott has continued to campaign hard into the final stretch, as a seemingly surefire race turned into a dead heat. "Texas is a great state and everyone wants to move here," said Abbott at a campaign stop, where he was met with a chorus of boos.

"Booo! Boo prosperity and low taxes! Boo!" shouted the crowd.

"What is even happening here?" sighed a bewildered Abbott.

At publishing time, California transplants had reported that Texas was really starting to feel more like home.

Sadly, there is no sarcasm in this topic.

I’m a little baffled how the Republicans haven’t made the midterms focus on how much cheaper and better by almost all metrics the red states are than the blue states. Instead, we largely allowed the leftists to pretend that they would somehow be good on “affordability,” contrary to the evidence we have right in front of our eyes.

And to anyone thinking of sitting out the midterms, just remember: The United States will not survive radical leftists like Talarico opening our borders, removing our sovereignty, perverting our morals and children, and “dismantling capitalism” so that we can embrace third-world Marxism instead (i.e. oppression, impoverishment, and a country that is no longer American nor good).

Even if one is unhappy about certain things, we cannot risk losing our nation out of resentment or to “show” Trump and/or the GOP. There is no guarantee things will get better in the future rather than worse (regardless of what some “influencers” online claim) or that we can undo what putting a bunch of leftists in power for at least 6 years in the Senate will do. Care about your nation; do not let the radical leftists who have taken over the Democrat Party have power. Make sure everyone you know on the right votes too.

WARNING!

DO NOT MOVE TO TEXAS...

Love feeling like a baked potato? Texas summers will have you melting faster than an ice cream cone on a sidewalk.

Bigger Bugs
Everything’s bigger in Texas, including the bugs. Say hello to roaches the size of your hand and mosquitoes that could carry you away.

Traffic Tribulations
Texas traffic, especially in cities like Houston and Dallas, will test your patience and your car’s AC system.

Tornado Territory
Tornadoes are a thrilling, yet terrifying, part of life here. You’ll become intimately familiar with your local weather alert system.

Football Frenzy
If you don’t live and breathe football, you might feel like an alien. High school football games here are bigger than some college ones elsewhere.

BBQ Battles
Texans take their BBQ seriously. If you think Carolina or Kansas City BBQ is better, prepare for some heated (and smoky) debates.

Dry Counties
Some counties in Texas still ban alcohol sales. Your spontaneous beer run might turn into a road trip.

Scorching Salsa
If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen—or the state. Texas cuisine comes with a side of spice that will set your taste buds ablaze.

Humidity Horror
The Gulf Coast humidity will make you feel like you’re swimming through the air. Good hair days are few and far between.

Y’all Yawn
If you’re not used to Southern drawls and “y’all” in every sentence, you might find the local vernacular a bit bewildering.

Gun Galore
The right to bear arms is a big deal here. Seeing folks with holstered pistols in public might be a bit of a culture shock.

Rattlesnake Roundups
Texas is home to rattlesnakes, and they’re not just a zoo attraction. Watch your step on hikes, or you might get a surprise hiss.

Allergy Agony
The state’s cedar pollen can turn your sinuses into a battlefield. Stock up on tissues and allergy meds.

Wild Weather
Texas weather is unpredictable. One day it’s sunny and 75, the next it’s snowing—Mother Nature loves keeping Texans on their toes.

Yeah, between the anthrax in the “garden soil” and “Believe it or not” TWELVE types of venomous snakes in Texas it’s a very good idea to have Poison Control (1‑800‑222‑1222) in your contacts.

You have been warned...

Well I’m not saying the roaches are big here in Texas, but they all have tail numbers and have to get clearance from the tower before taking off ...
