The scene spoke volumes about the Democratic Party's strategic shift since the 2024 US presidential election. On October 22, at a rally for Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a leading figure on the party's left wing, in a former movie theater in Portland, Maine, a transgender student stood up to challenge her. "Trans people in America feel that we have been upended by the Democratic Party. That we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that?" Ocasio-Cortez nodded: "I want to just let you know how shameful and sorry I am that there are people out there that scare so easily after the election. And I think it's what people hate most about politics, which is politicians who will jump on this side or that side of the line at a moment's notice."
LGBTQ+ rights, tackling racial and gender inequalities and reproductive rights are social issues often grouped under the catch-all term "wokeness." They were at the heart of Kamala Harris's 2024 campaign, but Democrats have put them aside for the November 3 midterm elections. "The economy has overshadowed everything. They are focusing on what Bernie Sanders calls 'kitchen table issues,' like gas prices, the cost of food, the price of homes, because they are so glaring," said Benjamin VanDreew, a political analyst and author of a study on wokeness.

It's absurd because Democrats are in the pocket of Big Climate which means sky-high energy prices and they oppose business at every turn which means high prices of everything. I can't think of a single thing they have done in decades to reduce the price of anything. Yet they demagogue " high prices" and have zero plans to reduce or stabilize prices.

I would like to hear Dems come out for more drilling/ more refineries/ more nuclear power plants/ more pipe lines but thats never going to happen. They don’t care about energy costs

Exactly. If they EVER achieve their objectives of packing the Supreme Court, adding two new states and, eventually, abolishing the Senate we are done for. They open borders, pro-crime, pro-islamist, anti-life, anti-business, anti-entrepreneurialism, weak defense positions are bad enough.

They’ve adopted moslem taqiyya, the practice of concealing one’s faith or religious identity to protect oneself from danger.
