- On Friday, The New York Times reported military review boards are defying orders from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to discharge transgender service members, with Navy and Marine Corps boards frequently voting to retain them.
- President Donald Trump's administration created three-person separation boards with narrow instructions mandating dismissal of the estimated 4,250 transgender personnel currently serving in the military.
- Navy and Marine Corps boards have voted to retain trans members in nine of 12 cases. Marine Staff Sgt. Damien Contreras saw board members cross out instructions regarding "a history of cross sex hormone therapy" and circle "remains qualified."
- The Army and Air Force have overwhelmingly voted to discharge transgender service members, contrasting sharply with Navy and Marine retention rates. Board decisions are recommendations that politically appointed branch secretaries could reverse.
- Rank-and-File soldiers are prioritizing service records over political mandates. "You have war fighters looking at war fighters," Contreras said, noting peers recognize colleagues who deployed and followed military rules.

Good grief. I guess a direct order is no longer in fashion. However, I have a feeling that the secretary of war is gonna go through hell beginning in January if those dang Democrats get into office in the house, they will not leave him alone.

that sounds good, yet it is a 3 person board making the decisions......................... so why is the leadership doing this?

Yup. Depends who is on the boards. Methinks women are a lot more likely to cut who they are judging some slack.

The answer is very simple and straightforward. Since these boards are composed of military officers, just cashier their asses.
All of them.
Once others see these people getting their careers ruined for defying orders, they won’t be in any hurry to do so themselves.

4,250 transgender personnel
______________________
So many?!
The only explanation, I heard, is that many people desiring switching sex joined military in Biden time for the sole purpose of getting free treatment.
With so many, military likely spend billions for transgender personnel.
We could have many Patriots defending us instead of that transgender folly!

You think front line infantry soldiers, marines, fighter pilots, submariners, rangers and other special forces are serving on those boards? You think these “peer-review” boards are made up of actual real life warriors? Or is it more like the board of climate change expert peers peer reviewing and approving climate change articles as “settled science?”

This Jag Officers are still held to the UCMJ. It is cause for dismissal and Trump should start making direct orders.

Military answers to civilian control in all aspects.
Either dissolve the resisting boards or start courts martial.
