DEAR FRIENDS,

Some of you have asked me for more information about Sister Paola Mezzetti, who passed away on March 18, 2019.

I served as her confessor for the last four years of her life. She was a holy sister. She loved Jesus deeply, as well as the Body of Jesus—the Church. Consequently, she understood well that Satan’s primary target is the destruction of the Church, and by extension, its priests and bishops.

As I wrote in my article: “Deceived and Confused Priests!” https://cibo-spir.blogspot.com/2026/06/sacerdoti-ingannati-e-confusi.html

“More than 60 years ago, ECCLESIASTICAL FREEMASONRY—with the help of many Freemason bishops and cardinals—infiltrated a large number of Catholic seminaries and universities in order to fundamentally alter, in a cunning and covert manner, the theological and philosophical teachings of the Catholic Church. They accomplished this quite cleverly by publishing numerous books and pamphlets, and by appealing to the pride of young students—encouraging them to interpret reality and truth according to their own personal judgment, rather than possessing the humility to seek the correct interpretation according to God, as found in Divine Revelation, explained in the documents of the Catholic Church, and articulated in the writings of the saints over the past 2,000 years. In most Catholic seminaries today, there are no longer courses on logic or metaphysics—disciplines that help young seminarians reason logically, enabling them to distinguish between right and wrong, and between what is beneficial or harmful to souls. Instead, a form of relativism is promoted under a disguised form. For instance, these unfortunate seminarians are indoctrinated to believe in ‘Situation Ethics’—a concept condemned by the Church over 50 years ago—which stems from modernism and relativism. Essentially, Situation Ethics promotes subjective, human-centered interpretations and solutions for every situation, rather than the Divine interpretation and solution—which can be discovered through the Church’s teachings and the writings of the saints. Most priests and bishops today have been trained to hold the ‘old,’ unambiguous teachings of the Church in contempt; consequently, they no longer know what those teachings are.” ...authentic teachings of the Catholic Church regarding faith and morals; consequently, they react poorly when someone attempts to explain the most fundamental dogmas of our faith—for instance, that Truth comes from the Creator, not from creatures, nor even from the Church! For more than 60 years, seminarians have been trained to believe that the old (the immutable Truth of God) is antiquated, while the new (the mutable truth of man) is good, chic, smart, sophisticated, and up-to-date. Seminarians have been formed in the worship of man rather than the worship of God; thus, for the vast majority of priests and bishops today, truth comes from creatures, no longer from the Creator!!! Herein lies the loss of unity and the fundamental source of the great confusion and the great apostasy (2 Thess 2:3) that we see today!”

I would also like to add that, a few days after Sister Paola’s death, Sister Bianca heard strange noises in the bedroom where she and Sister Paola had slept together for many years. Sister Bianca—a nun of solid faith, just like Sister Paola—realized that Sister Paola was asking for prayers from Purgatory! (Below, you will find the account of a nun from Foligno who, nearly 200 years ago, also asked for prayers from Purgatory!)

Here is the article I wrote following Sister Paola’s passing: The Great Deception of the Antichrist https://cibo-spir.blogspot.com/2019/05/il-grande-inganno-dellanticristo.html

DEAR FRIENDS, let us pray fervently and offer many sacrifices, as Our Lady asks of us everywhere—just as she did at Fatima.

Satan’s primary target is the true Church—the Catholic Church—which is being attacked from the outside and, even more so today, from within. Padre Pio once said that in this time of great confusion—this era of the great apostasy that precedes the manifestation of the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:3)—we must hold fast to the Church’s official documents and the writings of the saints; listen to nothing else!

Blessed Cardinal Newman remarked that he felt fortunate to live in an age when the enemies of the Church were on the outside, looking in. He foresaw a day when the enemies of the Church would be on the inside, looking out. Today, we speak of "theological dissent" within the Church. "Dissent" is merely a polite (deceptive!) term for heresy—for lies, and all manner of falsehoods!

As I wrote to the priests of Perugia:

1) Truth comes from the Creator, not from His creatures.

2) The Truth of the Creator never changes, whereas the "truth" conceived by creatures is constantly shifting, depending on each individual’s own interpretation

3) Jesus Christ founded a Church, of which He promised that “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Mt 16:18).

4) The papacy is a gift from God, to ensure that the Church’s teachings remain ever faithful to the Truth of God—a Truth that does not change with the whims and arrogance of the world!

SO, THE QUESTION IS:

There are many people in the Church today—very prominent figures—who speak of and promote things that are entirely at odds with the Church’s teaching, the Deposit of Faith, which is well summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC; 1992 edition, promulgated by Pope John Paul II; http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_it/ccc-it_index_it.html).

https://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc/index.htm

SHOULD I FOLLOW GOD’S TRUTH—WHICH DOES NOT CHANGE WITH THE WORLD—AS FOUND IN THE CCC, OR SHOULD I FOLLOW THE NUMEROUS PRIESTS, BISHOPS, AND CARDINALS WHO DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH OF GOD WELL SUMMARIZED IN THE CCC???????

Did God give us the Ten Commandments for out good or for our harm??? Do we trust God or do we trust ourselves???

DEAR FRIENDS, we are living in THE MOST DECEPTIVE PERIOD IN THE HISTORY of the world and the Church.

“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, EVEN THE ELECT” (Matthew 24:24).

“For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who HAVE NOT BELIEVED THE TRUTH but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:11–12).

“I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, ‘My Lord, what will the outcome of all this be?’ He replied, ‘Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but THE WICKED WILL CONTINUE TO ACT WICKEDLY;’” “None of the wicked shall understand these things, but the wise shall understand them” (Dan 12:8-10).

During this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21), “the Church will enter the glory of the Kingdom only through this final Passover, in which she will follow her Lord in His death and Resurrection” (CCC 677). But “IN THE END, MY IMMACULATE HEART WILL TRIUMPH!” — Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal, 1917. The Protoevangelium (Gen 3:15) will be fulfilled — Saint Louis de Montfort!

May God bless you!

I hope that this story of SISTER TERESA GESTA may help us to live more consistently for Jesus and for eternity, and to not forget the poor souls in purgatory!

Remember what I often say:

Saint Thomas Aquinas wrote that all the sufferings and pains in the entire world, taken together, do not equal even the least of the punishments in Purgatory!!!

On November 4, 1859, Sister Teresa Gesta, a Franciscan Tertiary religious in Foligno, Italy, died suddenly after suffering a stroke.

She had spent many years as a religious sister and had served as mistress of novices and in the convent's sacristy.

Twelve days later, on November 16, something extraordinary was reportedly witnessed inside the convent.

Sister Anna Felicia was in the sacristy when she heard what sounded like painful groaning.

She opened the door.

There was no one there.

Then she heard a voice:

“Oh, my God, how much I suffer!”

According to the traditional account, the room then filled with thick smoke.

The apparition of Sister Teresa appeared and moved toward the door.

When she reached it, she cried:

“Behold a proof of the mercy of God.”

She then pressed her right hand against the wooden door.

According to the account, the wood was left with a dark, burned impression resembling the outline of a human hand.

Then the apparition disappeared.

The sisters came running after hearing Anna Felicia's cries.

They found the mark on the door and reportedly noticed the strong smell of burned wood.

Later accounts say that Teresa's body was exhumed and that her unusually small right hand corresponded closely with the impression left in the wood. The story was subsequently recorded and circulated in Catholic literature, most notably in accounts of Purgatory by the Jesuit priest Fr. F. X. Schouppe.

But there is something even more important than the mysterious handprint.

The message attributed to Teresa was:

“Behold a proof of the mercy of God.”

Purgatory, in Catholic teaching, is not a second chance after death.

It is the purification of those who die in God's grace but still require purification before entering the fullness of Heaven.

And the Church has always encouraged the faithful to pray for the dead.

Masses.

Prayers.

Sacrifices.

Works of charity offered for their sake.

The traditional story of Sister Teresa Gesta has therefore endured as a powerful reminder:

Do not forget the souls who can no longer pray for themselves.

Offer a prayer for someone who has died.

Offer a Mass when you can.

Remember the forgotten.

And ask God to have mercy on the souls undergoing purification.

Whether one accepts the historical account of Teresa Gesta as a supernatural event or approaches it as a longstanding devotional tradition, its central Christian message is unmistakable:

God's mercy is greater than our weakness, and charity for the dead should never be forgotten.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May they rest in peace. Amen. See less
