High gas prices will do that a lot of the time.

Same month in Spain: Tesla +24.8%, and the Model 3 was the best-selling car of any kind. 2,530 units, ahead of the Seat Ibiza.

First EV to top the Spanish market. DGT data.

268.7%? So does that mean it increased from zero cars to 2.687 cars? 10 cars to 26.87 cars? Who got the partial car? Is it a DIY project? 🤔😂

Oh they do.
That's why AfD is doing so well.
Current regime has shut down the last remaining nuclear power plants and they have no oil/natural gas locally.

Right, that number without context is pretty worthless. Typical.

What “context” you talking about?
Seems clear enough to me.

EVs are usually more expensive in overall ownership costs. The electricity vs gasoline cost is just the surface veneer. Other EV costs eat up any savings and make them a more expensive proposition. You do get virtue signalling though.

Well, at least in America I could say that’s because higher electricity prices aren’t tied to foreign events. Too bad Germany made itself dependent on the New Soviet Empire.

I am not an EV fan, but depending on driving and life habits, they may be a good choice for some.

The fact is that Tesla is successful even after the government subsidies expired.

I imagine they are a pleasure to drive on the autobahn (provided you have a full charge and don’t go too far).

They may be very senior-friendly, though. If you will likely not drive long enough to worry about the batteries, there is little maintenance on the vehicle. No lubricants which need to be changed - at all. Self Driving can be an extension of independence.

My own mother has a Tesla and is very happy with it. She drives it to the local AFB all the time, and doesn’t virtue signal to anyone.
