I live in NY State. I love upstate, I really do, been here for going on 50 years. But if Florida keeps improving its legal/social situation, I may have to consider it.
OTOH, there's the alligators, the pythons, the cockroaches the size of my hand, the hurricanes, Florida Man, most of the state is built on a sandbar, and I don't do well in high heat or humidity ... eh, so maybe not.

Native here and all you describe is true. I moved to Texas for years but it still took a while to reaclimate to the FL environment.
Confirmed, just state roads, not county or townships.
And they have to be removed from the right of way. They could be moved further off to the side maybe.

The memo does not ban local law enforcement agencies from using LPRs on roads controlled by counties or cities. However, several local municipalities have already taken steps toward ending their relationships with Flock.
There’s already other systems like Axion (same company that makes Police Body Cams) as well as other companies doing the same thing that don’t have the name recognition that will probably be silently implemented just like Flock was before the backlash.

He's ordered the removal from State right-of-ways. I think that will only apply to State highways:
Municipalities have original jurisdiction over streets and highways within their boundaries except state roads.
Counties have original jurisdiction over streets and highways within their boundaries except state roads and those under municipal jurisdiction.
He also said the natives tie strings around them and walk them on leashes, but I think he may have been exaggerating.
That's not an exaggeration; in fact, I think the earliest inhabitants of North America use to ride them like horses. 😊
