And we even got a spicy FU from Hugh Laurie to all the people that are trying to get him to bend the knee, and he is refusing to do so.
Now, this whole crazy story is tied in with the drama that is going on right now with Sophie Cunningham and the WNBA, where apparently the WNBA is just letting any dude who wants to come in and dominate on the court in this women’s sport to be able to do so. And of course, this has been absolutely insane to watch. And you will not believe what Hugh Laurie just did to stand up against Hollywood in this whole crazy story. But this is what Sophie Cunningham said that really kicked off all of the outrage that we are seeing today.
Girls, we shouldn’t have to go against biological men. Just can you expand your viewpoint on that? I mean, I think I said what I said. I think it’s kind of common sense. Um, and I think I’ll always believe in that when it comes just to protecting young girls in sport and women in sport. Um, I feel very strongly about that.
As you can imagine, this sent all of the leftists into a huge meltdown in itself where we saw things like transformer WNBA fans reportedly starting to burn their Sophie Cunningham jerseys because she said no men in women’s sports. So, things are getting pretty crazy out here. We even had Trump say this, and this is just absolutely hilarious about the whole situation.
I’d be the greatest woman’s basketball coach in history. I’d go up to LeBron James. It doesn’t matter. I say, “LeBron, did you ever have any desire to be a woman?” Because what I’d love you to do is star on my team that I’m building up. I will have the greatest team in history. They’ll never lose.
All this craziness takes us to Hugh Laurie, who said this on X the other day that started all of the firestorm that we’re going to be checking out here today. Strange. This whole burgus should happen in professional basketball where 99.9% of the world are effectively women. Now, this whole thing was a really weird way for him to phrase all this, but basically he’s just making an observation compared to the men that are in the NBA. We are all pretty short.
Okay, that is pretty much all that he was saying, but this was enough to send a lot of people very mad because they mistook what he was trying to say, including Graham Linehan, who is somebody who lives over the UK, and you may remember the story, but he was arrested for making jokes about Transformers. And he actually deleted the tweet where he was very mad at Hori, but this is what he said.
Do you think men should be allowed to compete in women’s sports, Hu Laurie? Yes or no? That’s what the argument is about. Calling it a broas to distance yourself from it is cowardly. Look how easy this is. Women deserve fair sports.
Now, I agree with him, but obviously he completely mistook what Hui was saying as pretty much everybody did. But Hori absolutely clapped back in this absolutely hilarious way by saying, firstly, f off. Secondly, no. I don’t believe men should compete against women. I thought I’d made that pretty clear. Now, this of course was just the beginning of all the insanity, okay?
Because Hugh Laurie is a very spicy individual. We even have this person down here. Who knew Hugh is an effing, you know what, smug little you know what? And Hugh Laurie responded and said, “Good point.” [laughter] But it didn’t stop there because then Graham Linehan responded to Hugh Laurie once again, and he well once again deleted his tweet which is very, you know, weird because he basically he was calling Hugh Laurie a coward and now he is just deleting tweets which, you know, [laughter] that seems a little ironic there.
But Hugh Laurie responded to Graham Linehan again by saying you started it cowardly to f off is the going rate of exchange around here and yes and this is the crazy part. And yes, I support Sophie Cunningham and you some of the time. He has now flat out come out to say that he doesn’t believe men should compete in women’s sports. And he even said that he supports Sophie Cunningham. Now, these are huge things that are completely taboo in Hollywood to say, and yet here he is just flat out saying it on X. This has many, many people in the comments, as you can imagine, very, very upset by what he is saying here.
Sophie Cunningham refers to transformer women as men. She’s a small-minded wannabe mega grifter.
So people are very, very upset with Hugh Laurie for what he did. They are all absolutely losing their minds, and Hugh Laurie is not backing down at all. Now, it gets even better because then Graham Linehan responded to Hu Laurie once again by saying, “Fair dues. I apologize for my knee-jerkiness and thank you. I would never have had what career I had without a bit of Fry and Laurie to aspire towards.”
And it shows you just how insane everything is with the WNBA when you see crazy things that are happening like this. WNBA commissioner announces the league is meeting to review what a woman is after multiple former NBA stars announced plans to join the league. This is where we are at with this whole craziness where apparently they have to have a huge meeting with a bunch of people to decide what a woman is.
It is absolutely epic that Hugh Laurie is willing to actually stand up against the insanity with the rest of us. He is sick and tired of all this woke nonsense as many of us are, and he is planting his flag firmly when it comes to all of this. Honestly, I don’t know why we don’t see quite a bit more of this.
Hugh Laurie is in the books as a classic performer — “Fry and Laurie”, “Jeeves and Wooster”, “Blackadder”, “House”. He is established as a versatile performer with a long and very successful track record. I have no idea what his investment portfolio looks like, but I imagine it’s quite solid. And he’s 67. It’s not like he needs to worry that his promising career is about to be cut short. He’s made it.
So why not tell people what you think? How are they going to hurt you??
And yet few old, rich, successful celebrities seem to want to take a chance. Too afraid that people will stop liking them, I guess.

As a general comment — average people have become steadily less able to write over the past few decades. They can’t spell. They don’t understand grammar. They don’t read real literature and never seem to grasp the art of creating a beautiful sentence. In this way, you end up with a lot of professional writers who don’t write very well. And the publishers seem to have fired all of the editors, so the prose which is submitted is sent through a spell checker and that seems to be sufficient.
But now it’s even worse. No one reads — no one writes anymore either. It’s YouTube people sitting in front of a microphone, trying to speak extemporaneously and coming up with word salads like Kamala and then the video is “transcribed” by AI and posted to the internet for the public to read. It’s horrible.
Our literacy rates are very bad, and they will surely get worse. You see the downward slope every day.
And if you have not mastered your own native language, then I say you cannot think. What goes on inside the mind of these people? Nothing coherent.

The art of writing is fading fast. Instead of composing written words to express their thoughts, we have a generation (or two) of rambling, untalented wannabes who use YouTube as their means of communication because they are too lazy or stupid or both to coherently express themselves using a keyboard.
I read the AI generated transcript twice and I still don’t understand what Hugh Laurie did or didn’t do or say and why any of this is newsworthy. I hope this YouTuber doesn’t quit his day job.
