Yes. And since it will be a monopoly there will be no competition and no efficiency. There will be rationing and long waits. Long waits reduce costs because many will die before seeing a doctor. Who will be the ones to get the long waits?

“Medicare for All” is a misnomer. Medicare is not free. Not only do you have to pay for it, there is a deductible. They really mean “Medicaid for All”.

I had a co-worker who was single who was all for the obamacare till he found out he would pay $9,000 before the “free” medical care started. Plus you will not get the unlimited care you want. You will be left without or killed as they do to people in socialist countries.
If you think your insurance company is a pain in the ass to deal with…just wait until the wait for that CT scan you need is going to take 3 months.
When my wife was going through the diagnostic imaging to identify her cancer we were able to schedule them one after another—4 of them in ten days.
In Canada or Europe that would have taken months. The average wait time was four to six weeks. My wife would have been terminal if she had to wait four more months.
Medicare for all sounds wonderful…until you get really, really sick.
Imagine…those pesky doctors, lab techs, and nurses want to eat too. How selfish of them. //sarc
I recall reading a report years ago from the UK. The small villages were outraged that even just getting a hearing test took so long. I don’t recall the exact numbers, but something like “It shouldn’t take 8 months to get a hearing test while in London it only takes 10 weeks.” (It was in months vs. weeks - just for a test!).
It never was about health insurance, it was (and is) about health care. At some point; to get around the rich, expensive and capitalistic insurance companies; the government will need to bring all of the doctors and other people under the government’s domain.
