JUST IN: Senate Advances 74 Trump Nominees In One Swift Move
100 Percent Fed Up ^ | July 31, 2026

Posted on 07/31/2026 7:20:52 AM PDT by Red Badger

In a significant procedural victory, the Senate just cleared the path for dozens of Trump nominees to be confirmed.

A total of 74 appointees were advanced in a single en bloc vote.

The final vote in the Senate was 50-47.

Watch the moment the measure advanced here:

We are well into the second year of President Trump’s second term.

Yet, there are still over 100 Trump nominees pending confirmation.

It’s great to see the Senate finally moving towards clearing out a major chunk of that backlog.

The Senate website provided a list of some of the specific nominations:

This batch contains 74 of President Trump’s well-qualified nominations, including:

17 ambassadorships

4 U.S. attorneys

4 U.S. marshals

1 deputy secretary

4 under secretaries

12 assistant secretaries

The commissioner of labor statistics

The administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

The administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

The deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) (U.S. Congress: S.Res. 817 – accessed 7/28/26)

This batch will bring the total number of civilian nominations confirmed en bloc since Senate Republicans’ rules reform to 375 nominations – accounting for about 63% of those confirmed in President Trump’s second term.

To be clear, the Senate’s vote on Thursday only advanced this block of nominees. They still have to be confirmed in a final vote — which is expected to happen later this week.

This move comes at a time when the confirmation of President Trump’s pick for Attorney General, Todd Blanche, is in peril thanks to two RINOs.

Get them all confirmed, Senate...

WTF. They make this sound good, when it is shameful. Going on two years in.

It makes me think that there is horse trading in some fashion by Democrats and Republicans, and I suspect it is don’t to not have their recess interrupted.

Shameful.

No they should not have. The Constitution states the Senate has to “consent” to nominations. Congress is not a rubber stamp for the Executive.

The Senate approved a bunch of appointees, many of whom, such as the ambassadors, will accomplish something close to nothing. Ain’t what its cracked up to be.

I get the distinct feeling that the Senators, R & D, do not want an AG that looks into their finances....................

Why bother? What changed about this that could not have been done two years ago? Call me when it is finally done. Until then this is just more sound and fury signifying more of nothing.

I have been saying things like this for years and am still not wrong. This government has become polluted and ineffective. For every small glimmer of hope there are thousands of aw shits to erase them.

We vote to be represented then the people we elect do whatever the hell benefits them most or they whine doing right is just too hard, and it probably is a near impossible task. I would not want the job.

Yeah I’m cynical. Experience does that to a man.

Ambassadorships are mostly ceremonial and go to people who were heavy donors to campaigns. Some matter, of course, but most do not. Which is a good thing.

If you are a student of history you know this is nothing new. There was never a pure unsullied period in America. It is a constant battle. Thank God for those who fight on our side.

This is a underhanded ploy that senators will use as proof they have been supporting President Trump. They will say...look at all his appointments we voted on and seated. Pretending they did their job.
