On July 8, within minutes of Graham Platner abandoning his campaign for U.S. Senate, a 29-year-old Democratic activist named Cheyenne Hunt took to X to declare that his downfall would not be the last.
“What happened in Maine should serve as a clear message: The days of women being sacrificed at the altar of our elections are over,” she wrote of Platner, who was accused of sexual assault.
You may not have heard of Hunt, but you are almost certainly familiar with her work. A lawyer and progressive content creator, Hunt worked with Platner’s accusers to help orchestrate the media rollout that ultimately drove him to call off his campaign.
And he wasn’t Hunt’s first political knockout. In April, the lawyer-turned-influencer played an instrumental role in surfacing sexual misconduct allegations against Eric Swalwell, the Democratic congressman and leading candidate for California governor.

Warning to FReepers. Between now and November stories will come out. Some will be true. Some will be half-true. Some will be fiction made to look true.
Be careful what you read and hear and repeat.
All democrat activism is built on deception.
It’s their one method of doing things.
That’s right.
Anyone that waits years to report this is not to be believed. I would make exceptions for children, but grown women waiting 5 or more years is BS.
Remove women from the workplace.
Return them to their natural position of managing the family household
Problem solved. 😎

Agreed.
Ran for Congress as Dem in 2024, lost primary.
Pound Me Too is back?
Believe All Women.
Even though Platner, a leftist, was sacrificed this time, the whole #MeToo movement still favors leftists and marxists, and promotes their general themes of woke identity politics.
So yes, they will have another go at it.
I think it’s generally acknowledged that the dating scene these days is really bad. A lot of young men have just given up and don’t try to date. And, of course, some young women are fed up with the guys they typically date and don’t want more of the same.
There are a lot of reasons why dating is bad now. But MeToo is always cited as one of the contributing factors. If MeToo hasn’t gone away, and may even be having a resurgence, then dating will suffer more. Gen Z is just not going to have children. Oh well.
“But MeToo is always cited as one of the contributing factors”
Some of the Platner allegations were grey area, e.g. the one where he locked his girlfriend in her room because she wouldn’t stop screaming. My ex threw things at me including a platter full of food while I was driving. My right hand went quickly to her side of the car. Her side of the story would be that I hit her but she knows she threw food all over me so she deserved it. Much later in therapy she admitted to provocation. Some women are professional boxers, both men and women have to deal with fights they provoke. There is often another side to a sob stories of Gloria Allred. Women can scream and spit and kick and pull your hair and scratch your face. At some point e.g. after they draw blood you are entitled to hit back IMHO. I don’t know the law however. If you want to be in politics avoid crazy women.
Gen Z won’t but our imported replacements will!
Not directly on topic, I suppose, but there is an old interview between Barbara Walters and Sean Connery which can be found on YouTube.
Barbara mentions an old quote from Connery in which he stated that it was sometimes OK for a man to hit a woman. Barbara gave a little tut-tut to this old quote and then sort of invited Connery to apologize and promise to be more enlightened in the future.
But Connery doubled down and said that he stood by the quote. Sometimes a woman needs to be smacked.
Walters was just shocked and demanded that he explain this paleolithic viewpoint.
Connery basically explained that if a man and a woman have a argument, and the man gives in — the man apologizes — the man states that he was wrong — the man says that the woman was right — the man totally and completely surrenders — if at that point, the woman is still yelling at him, berating him and still trying to win the fight (that she has clearly already won) — if the woman just will not stop, then the man is justified in smacking her.
Barbara moved on to another subject.
My own view is that some of the AWFULs and “Karens” in the world are prepared to yell forever because they feel “you can’t do anything to me”. Those women really need a punch in the mouth. Equal Rights. Equal lefts.
No more MeToo!!
Save our universities, which are the main targets!
Which univiersities? The gender studies universities? The Progressive univerities? which univeristies are “OUR” universities?
I always wondered if they knew what a hashtag means to old-timers, or if they were being ironic.
