Graham Platner Could End Campaign Today, Sources Tell CNN

Disgraced Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner could end his campaign Wednesday, sources told CNN.

Citing a source “close to the campaign,” CNN reported the scandal-scarred Platner was set to meet with advisor Morris Katz Wednesday.

He would announce any exit from the race via a video — but the message had not been taped as of Wednesday morning, CNN reported.

“This could – and should – end today. We’ll see if it does,” the campaign source told CNN.

The report comes as a top Maine Democrat claimed Platner and his team were “trying to put their thumb on the scale” and choose his replacement.

Maine Democratic Party Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson said in a video Platner should go — and said officials are searching for someone else to take on Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME).

The controversial Platner had the vocal backing of numerous high profile Democrats, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT), even after ex-girlfriend Lyndsey Fifield accused him of getting physical with her during their relationship. Platner denied the allegations.

I see from the articles last night and today that the DNC has issued its marching orders to the MSM to put pressure on Platner in the form of ‘oh it’s fait accompli’ articles regarding him dropping out.

I hope he damages the democrat party as much as possible; they deserve it for knowingly pushing this sociopathic rapist until his candidacy became untenable. What a great demonstration of power above any sort of principles.

And remember, they have no way of actually removing him. Maine law doesn’t allow it. He has to drop out.

And all it took was multiple, credible, evidence-backed rape allegations, including a home-invasion; a Nazi tattoo; him being caught lying about the Nazi tattoo; him saying he masturbates in portapotties because he simply can’t help it; him saying he joined the military so he could kill people; him saying he joined private security after the military so he could kill more people; him being caught lying about being an actual oyster farmer; him being handed a house and money by his family; his campaign manager turning on him months ago… I know I’m missing a couple too.
