A total of 1.6 million foreign workers entered Britain under Boris Johnson's visa reforms.
The Home Office has admitted how much a key part of the "Boriswave" migrant surge is really set to cost taxpayers.
Analysis by the department and its Migrant Advisory Committee (MAC) shows that 117,000 foreign care workers will receive settled status in Britain between now and 2030.
An additional 79,000 adult dependents are expected to settle alongside them.
This will cost the taxpayer more than £100,000 each over the course of a migrant's lifetime - an estimated £36,000 per foreign worker, and £67,000 per dependents.
This could send the total cost to Britons' wallets skyrocketing to more than £9billion.
These figures only represent the care workers expected to remain in the UK out of a total of 612,666 visas issued on the controversial health and care route between 2022 and 2024.

It's mostly their fault. They've had the control of the government for 14 years but never did what they were supposed to do.
Government ALWAYS underestimates costs.
This is why no one should be voting for the “Conservatives” even though Kemi Badenoch talks a good game. The successive Tory governments - Cameron, Johnson, Sunak - followed disastrous policies or at the very least, did not fix disastrous Labour policies. Starmer was bad but the problems didn’t start with him. They started with Blair and kept right on going through a series of successive Labour and Tory prime ministers.
But they are working and paying taxes. Strengthening the nation with diversity. Saving the pension system by having many babies.

The web seems to indicate over 12 million people get a UK state pension.
Starmer’s actually done more to drive migration down and deportations up than the three Tory leaders who preceded him.
Naturally, they all get a free pass for creating the problem in the first place while Starmer gets a kicking for not completely eradicating that 14-year problem in his first 2 years.
