In the left’s ongoing crusade to separate vulnerable children from the influence of their parents, Democrats in the Failed State of California are pushing a bill that would allow minor children to divorce their parents.
As you read this, keep in mind that this has nothing to do with protecting children. Quite the opposite, in fact. This is all about removing children from the protection of their families so they can be corrupted and exploited.
“The bill [AB 1967] allows any minor residing in any residential facility to file a legal application against their parents, without cause or evidence of harm,” reports the Post Millennial. “Residential facilities include drug rehabilitation programs, boarding schools, wilderness therapy programs, faith-based residential programs, and runaway shelters.”
You think that sounds bad? Here’s the devil in those details…
“The child can petition the court to strip the parents of custodial authority and substitute county child welfare control or foster placement,” the report adds. “The application need not be corroborated by any adult and need not be served on the parents. The child’s statement alone is sufficient to trigger a mandatory assessment of the parents’ home. This assessment can occur without the parents’ knowledge.”
And here’s the true motive…
… A child in a pro-reality therapeutic setting can use AB 1967 to move herself into a home or institution that will affirm her transgender identity. California welfare laws require children under state control to be “affirmed” in their gender identity, housed in accordance with their identity and not sex, and given access to sex-rejecting interventions.

I believe the late Rob Reiner made a movie about this type of insanity, back in 1994. It starred a young Elijah Wood and was called “North”.
Quite ironic, since his son’s insanity was on full display when he “divorced” his parents.

Consider that since the ratification of 14th Amendment (14A), 1st Amendment religious protections limit INTRAstate schools in the following way imo. Mark 7:1-13 for example, particularly verse 13, shows that Jesus reprimanded the religious leaders of his time for driving a wedge between parents and their children with unscriptural rules, nullifying the "Honor your Father and Mother" Commandment by doing so.
So juvenile delinquency aside, if religious authorities don't have a scriptural basis to interfere with parental authority, then neither can state governments easily breach such authority imo, parents protecting their children from activist state pro-LGBT indoctrination reasonably found under the umbrella of constitutionally protected religious expression imo, at least for Christians.
On the other hand, it's good that parental rights are not expressly constitutionally protected since some "parents" do not deserve to be parents imo.
Yes, “spare the rod and spoil the child.” But also heed that Ephesians 6:4 teaches us that the Holy Spirit led Apostle Paul to warn fathers not to exasperate their children.
The bottom line is this. Even if faith-based parents are a local voting minority, they still have 1st Amendment religious expression protection over their children from activist state actors who are allegedly deliberately trying to weaken the Christian family unit.
One should be allowed to legally divorce themselves from their family. Think wills and hospital visitation. If anyone doesn’t want court fights this would be a solution.
The destruction of the family in KKKalifornia is complete. Unbelievable. But what could we expect with Sodomites in charge?
I remember Drew Barrymore did movie about divorcing parents, although that is all I remember about the movie.
Blood relatives can’t divorce, but children can emancipate under certain circumstances after legal age.
Because the family is an institution that creates a system of loyalty not subordinate to the state.
