Trump admin overhauls $1 trillion in federal grants with strict new rules about who gets the money

The days of blank checks to NGOs is officially over.

This is a huge savings for the United States as Russ Vought and the Office of Management and Budget have completely overhauled the federal grant system and are now making sure the TRILLION dollars we spend on grants are actually legit.

Here's a video Andrew shared of Vought explaining the impact of this program last month, you can skip the first five minutes which is just idiot libtards protesting for no reason.

BREAKING: Russ Vought at OMB has just overhauled $1 TRILLION in federal grants by adding: Strict E-Verify requirements, English-language rules, and political appointee oversight to ensure taxpayer dollars go to American citizens first.

Vought’s new proposal replaces automatic… pic.twitter.com/YxqCH72OIN— Andrew Kolvet (@AndrewKolvet) May 28, 2026

Here's the New York Post about the overhaul:

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will propose the fixes to address 'significant flaws' in the grants, at least 190,000 of which date from former President Joe Biden's final year in office, officials told The Post Thursday ...

Under the proposal from OMB Director Russ Vought, political appointees will now be given final sign-off over federal monies and performance will be closely monitored, including with the use of the Treasury Department's Do Not Pay registry.

'In the past, you got yourself a nice grant that might last three or four or five years for a certain amount every quarter or every year — and that's just an invitation for underperformance and under-delivery,' another OMB official said, 'because you're guaranteed a payment regardless.'

We're going to use E-Verify to make sure federal grants aren't going to literal illegal aliens AND we're going to have accountability that the funds granted actually do what they're intended to do?

WHAT A WILD IDEA!!

The shift will allow the feds to play a larger role in vetting grantees that eventually get taxpayer money through state programs. ...

All other grants not aligned with President Trump's executive actions and polices will be suspended or terminated, if they haven't already been cut.

Those include awards focusing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, promoting 'gender ideology' or renewable energy programs commonly referred to by Republicans as the 'Green New Scam.'

This will result in DEI-, LGBT-, and climate-related grants being immediately canceled, along with any other ideological projects that undercut American values.

Institutional wokeness is on the ropes!

Does that mean the several million Indians we brought over to take American white guys jobs working on all of our computer systems wont be able to draw a paycheck off these funds. No? I did not think so. No news stories on this ever.

This may reduce the current set of payouts but, unfortunately, Congress will not correct the budget accordingly. Makes me wonder who will be the beneficiary of where the surplus is going to go.

Yep, we are $40,000,000,000,000 in debt already thanks to the uniparty and The Great Collapse could happen in our lifetime. Removing huge expenditures permanently like this financial pig would go a long way to keep us solvent. Between the three branches of gummit we don't have much of a chance anyway of fixing this problem anyway, a balanced budget would help but from the takers/leaches to Congress it will never happen.

Yes. There are way too many Indians in America. Indian migration has been a stealth invasion. Indian H1Bs are indentured slaves and work for subsistence level pay. Indians take jobs that Americans want to do. Indians have risen to prominent positions in every sector and import an anti white caste system. I don’t like Indians.

They have so many NGOs that if you knock out a dozen or so they still have a hundred or more. And they can create new NGOs every hour of the day............

Why in hell is the government funding NON government organizations? Because, these NGOs are not answerable to the American taxpayer, and we have no control over what they do with the money. They can fund riots, they can fund terrorists, they can hire criminals and thumb their noses at the American people. If the Republicans had one testicle between them, they would cut of ALL funding to NON government entities. It’s BULLshit. I’m so sick of this kabuki theatre, jumping around the megaliths of corruption, biting at the ankles and accomplishing exactly NOTHING!

How about zero! why in the world would he give away $1 trillion for grants? no wonder we have so much Debt. The last four administrations have been spending money like crazy. I suppose it’s never gonna stop but given away $1 trillion is not financially smart. I think we really only bring in 5.23 trillion. So he’s giving away 20% just like that. I just shake my head.

Why do we have these grants to NGOs and “non-profits” in the first place?

So we’re still going to dole out a trillion dollars, just to different activists.
