Here’s How Trump Can Nuke Virginia’s New Gerrymandered Map — And It's Brilliant!

Virginia used to be a model of fair redistricting. That reputation is now gone.

On Tuesday, Virginia Democrats passed a redistricting plan that transforms one of the most fairly apportioned states in the country into one of the most blatantly gerrymandered.

Keep in mind that Virginia only narrowly backed Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in 2024 by roughly five points. Virginia is, in every way, a battleground state. Yet under the new map, nearly half the state’s voters effectively lose their voice. The new lines snake from densely packed, heavily Democratic suburbs deep into rural territory. There is nothing democratic about it.

And the endgame is obvious. If these maps survive a court challenge, Democrats will have a much easier path to stacking Congress against President Donald Trump — setting up yet another sham impeachment attempt over nothing. Democrats aren’t even hiding what they’re doing anymore. Why would they? Republicans have spent years playing nice while the left plays to win, and they play dirty.

That has to stop. And there may be a remarkable way to stop it right now.

Do it! Do it! Do it! This will return Virginia to bright red and it's Southern roots. And it will give the Dims apoplexia which we all love to see. It needs to be done very soon to have an impact on this election cycle.

If Trump does this, it will absolutely kill the Dems in VA.

Today, a couple pundits (including Bongino) said that a current situation in FL could “fix” the VA vote yesterday.

I always thought that the statutes that allow constitutional amendment via popular vote ballot initiative are unconstitutional because it allows a simple majority to prevail whereas in congress it requires a super majority.

So these statutes are the dems way of running a work around the constitutional super majority requirement.

A task easily accomplished with just a small amount of election fraud.

Republicans are now a complete non-entity in Virginia! Half the population has NO representation. They now have a:

democratic Governor,

2 democratic senators,

democratic control of the VA Senate,

democratic control of the VA House,

and in Nov. will have 10 democratic Congressman and only one Republican,,,,,,

I wonder who the one token, sacrificial Republican might be.

Although I’ve long been all for this, I doubt it will do squat about the mid-terms because of the timing involved unless the election they just staged can be decertified on these grounds.

Democrats and Virginia should be embarrassed by the vote.

I’ve thought the opposite, that most of DC, except maybe the central district, should be returned to Maryland thus nuking any plan to make DC a state with 2 senators, which DNC plans to do once they return to power.

Fantasy.... thee is no way in hell the Supreme Court would allow Alexandria and Arlington citizens to lose their right to representation in Congress.

The fact that such a childish solution is being floated shows how non-serious the Republican thinking has become. It’s like Hitler in the bunker thinking Steiner or some end-run wonder weapon would turn the tide against the well-equipped, tough and professional allies armies.

Pretty much this solution is to lop off a bunch of Virginia voters out of the pool. Pure desperation.

Just ran an AI search:

Given that this area corresponds to modern-day Arlington County and the City of Alexandria, the best estimate for the current population is approximately 400,000 people

Northern Virginia is CIA-Deep State territory.

It’s the equivalent of a roman Praetorian military camp, just outside the capital.

They will support the deep state as long as their salaries and perks are paid for.

Hah! You wish ...

It does nothing about Fairfax County, Loudon County, Richmond, or the college towns Charlottesville and Blacksburg. For that matter, the "Hampton Roads" area is no prize ... the rot has expanded far beyond Arlington/Alexandria.

Democrats just took away the representation of the Republicans in the state of VA. It is a childish way to go about it, but we are at war. Why is it okay when the left does it?

“...Arlington and Alexandria are among the bluest jurisdictions in the country, packed with federal employees...

What a great time for President Trump to fire another couple hundred thousand of worthless fed employees, might as well double up on the fun.

A quick way for DC to get state status or two senator and reps that will always be Dims.

There's nothing quite like a total handwave argument, one that should be beneath you but apparently isn't.

By the Constitution, there never was to be such a right as part of its intent as means to limit the growth of a central government. If these people value such a voice, they can move. Nobody would be depriving them of anything.
