Why Are there not zero refugees from most of these places
Who was president in 2024?
Biden of curse.
Build a safe zone in Africa somewhere. Indonesia for the muslims.
I assume 4,496 Afrikaner refugees.
Don’t forget, refugees are eligible for all the perks of welfare immediately upon approval of refugee status.
Interesting.
I hope the 2026 statistics are accurate.
Who was President? You mean the guy who had the title or the actual person or persons that exercised presidential powers?
Potato.
Most of the refugees from South Africa are often one dimensionally labeled as White but if you have studied the history as closely as I have: most of the Caucasian Afrikaans speakers are in fact part non White. Those of Boer and also Cape Dutch decent have partial Khoisan roots. The aboriginal macro group of Africa. This means that the Caucasian Afrikaans speaker has roots in Africa not just for centuries - but for tens of thousands of years in fact.
The Trump administration has severely restricted the U.S. refugee program, setting a record-low cap of 7,500 admissions for fiscal year 2026 and focusing heavily on specific groups. The administration largely paused general admissions, with reports indicating that nearly all refugees accepted since October 2025 are white South Africans.
Key details regarding the refugee situation:
Drastic Reductions: The annual refugee cap was dropped to 7,500, a significant decline from the previous 125,000 limit.
Targeted Admissions: Reports show a shift in policy to prioritize the admission of white Afrikaner farmers from South Africa, with some reports citing that over 99% of refugees since October 2025 belong to this group.
Program Suspension: Soon after taking office in 2025, the administration implemented an indefinite pause on general refugee resettlement, leaving thousands, including allies, in limbo.
Asylum Restrictions: The administration has paused asylum decisions for individuals from around the world and has indicated an intent to pause the system for an extended period. The administration’s policies have been characterized by critics as discriminatory, designed to exclude non-white refugees.
The Trump administration has taken steps to dismantle the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) starting in early 2025. Actions include executive orders halting refugee entries, freezing funding for resettlement agencies, and closing regional processing centers, resulting in a near-total halt to the program.
Key actions to dismantle refugee programs include:
Indefinite Suspension: A January 20, 2025, Executive Order suspended the entry of all refugees.Funding Freeze: The administration cut off funding to resettlement agencies, dismantling infrastructure designed for immigrant integration, as described on this page from the International Rescue Committee.
Termination of Programs: The 2023 Welcome Corps private sponsorship program was discontinued, along with certain family reunification pathways.
Closure of Processing Centers: Offices that assisted with processing, including for Iranian religious minorities and Eritrean asylum seekers, were shut down.
While a 2025 federal court order sought to temporarily pause these actions, the administration indicated that rebuilding the severely impacted systems would be difficult. These actions are part of a broader shift to curb humanitarian protections, as detailed in an American Friends Service Committee article.
The vegetable was “President” in 2024.
